PJTP - I'm getting cold feet about the new house. So many people are dropping like flies at work and I'm scared DH and I are going to be one (or two!) of them. It may just be safer to stay put. Also, DD is hanging around a girl a year older who has a bf and is bragging about how the kissing was. I am SO not ready for DD to even have friends who are kissing!!!! Ugg. Can't I trade her in for a newer model...something out of diapers, but can't express pissiness yet?

Funny you say that about nails....I was the untrustworthy one over that issue many years ago. My then BF asked me not to chew my toenails. (After baths, I'd chew them when they were soft...I don't do that anymore - don't judge. :lunch: I was young.) I laughed and said, sure I'll stop - without really meaning it. I thought it was no big deal...why's he getting his panties in a bunch? - The next day I was doing it again. He FLIPPED. He was ready to break up because I'd said that I'd stop, and I didn't. For him there was no grey area. It was a little lesson for me about trust. Now I don't agree to something I'm not willing to do or not do.

I agree with you tap, 100%. I think if it's been happening for years, then he's not likely to stop. He was just saying what she wanted to hear ("don't worry honey, I'll NEVER do it again") and then turning around and hiding it. That behavior is not acceptable, no matter what the subject is, whether it be a hot-topic issue like porn, or something more mundane.

Is the baby squirrel shaped like a lightening bolt? Yeah, still hung up on that one.

But then I tell them that Mangos are out of season, and they shrug and go, "Oh, in that case...here's your trophy."

Sometimes I like to go to the front of the store and have them page myself: "Paging Winner. Winner to the front desk please." Then I laugh.

I haven't read all the posts, so sorry if I'm reiterating anything someone else already posted, but I think men like to look and as long as it's kept at a "normal" and safe level then whatever. I dated a guy a long time ago that would wake up in the middle of the night to watch porn. I'd get so mad because our sex life was diminished by it. He looked at Hustler, which I can't stand, and his level of interest in nudie pics was over the top. Now, DH barely has anything. When I met him, he had some porn movies saved on his DVR, but I actually owned more porn (and other things) than he did. He's since deleted the movies and we just watch my stuff when we're in the mood. My point is, there is a level that you both can enjoy this...Is there anyway you see yourself opening up and trying to have a little fun with it? Is it something he feels he has to hide from you, not out of shame for what he's doing, but from the response he gets from you? If you truly have a moral issue with porn and HATE it, then I'd say you need to re-evaluate your relationship. I know some may disagree, but after having gone through so many relationships where I didn't see eye-to-eye with my partner and now being in one where we're ALWAYS on the same page, I gotta say - it makes a huge difference. Personally I would never again be in a relationship where things like this would be a struggle. Life is too short.

woo-hoo! come on down! Donna - love the new pic, too! Did you and DD get some cool stuff today? Poor DD, she was stuck at her sick Grandma's all day. Oh, well...she's too young to be trusted left alone all day, and too old to be trusted with her friends.

PJTP - I can log on now! yay. Over the weekend DH and my BF and I rearranged our house. We took down all our sappy family pictures and rearranged the furniture so that we can't actually live there comfortably anymore. Trying to sell is a bitch, but looking at the new homes is fun.

Oh....:confused: I feel silly. As for slasher flicks - I hate watching them, but I do appreciate how real the visual effects can look. It's kinda like a sick art. But, I'm not really a fan of the movies where people just go on killing rampages. Well, except for Natural Born Killers. I did like that one.

Morning all....Drive by posting: DH and I are trying to sell our home and buy another one. I'm kinda MIA lately, between work being a little hectic and this new stress of home-searching/selling/buying, I'm going out of my mind. No snow here, 'course, but we had some rain, which cooled everything back down into the 70's. (I know, right...CHILLY.) BL thread - WTH? That just pissed me off. I want to meet these pristine angels face to face and find out what they're really like. Unless they really are the right hand of God, then leave me the F alone. ha ha ha....did I mention stress?

I didn't even KNOW there was a Memento 2! (Adding to list...) DH and I are in the process of *trying* to sell home and purchase a new one, so my movie days are slowing down. Although, I do want to see Escape to Witch Mountain this weekend with DD.

All right ya'll....I didn't go. DH and I talked and he persuaded me not to go. Even though, he felt guilty for telling me and then tried to get me to go - men! But, he was right for a few points. We can't afford it IF I got picked. And the IF is so small, I didn't really want to waste a nice day. We ended up doing yard work and that feels much better than a day spent in line. :laugh: One thing he and I didn't talk about, but was in the back of my head, is that IF I got picked, I'm not sure it wouldn't be because of the band. I haven't been so happy with the band lately, or the rules that go with it, but that's my issue. I really didn't want to be part of the Band-Bash that would have definitely been made by Biggest Loser. So, sorry guys....no pics or feedback. :thumbup:
