I woke up this morning, the sun was shining so brightly! But wait! That's not the sun...that's the shine on my trophy!

Pretty much insane. He was very regimined about a lot of things. Until I came along and blew all his plans to hell! That's what we fought about most...me telling him he did not getting any enjoyment out of life, and him trying to explain to me that he WAS actually enjoying all that crap. By the end of our dating, he only kept his money in order by denomination and no longer by serial numbers.

I had a huge drinking problem in my younger days. I used to joke that I was part Irish and part Cherokee, so I love to drink, but can't handle it. Now, though, I think a part of my addictive personality has buried itself, or gone away for good. I'm not really addicted to anything but food (and I'm kinda breaking that now.) I can drink socially and get drunk every now and then and be fine. I would not drink and drive, though I have in the past. I do regret it, and would NEVER do that again. I have folks in my family who have been to prison for manslaughter while drunk driving and it's sad. It's definitely a wake up call. And, Tap - the autospy and body prep work as a punishment is so PERFECT! It makes so much sense.

I dated a guy who kept a list of his money in serial number in a spreadsheet. Each morning, he'd make a list. That was CPA in VA that I left to come to TX. Best. Move. Ever.

YES! DD found $50.00 on the floor of Home Depot once. At first she said, "Mommy, there's money." I was like, yeah, yeah - let's keep going. Then she said, "It's $20" then she said, "We just passed it...can I get it?" I was in a hurry and was trying to rush to find my stuff but that made me stop. I said sure, and she grabbed it and it was a $50. So, we went to the manager and said here's money...and he just kinda looked at us and took it. I was kicking myself because I just KNEW he'd pocket it and we shoulda kept it...so I finished shopping, got in line and he came over. He said there was no way to find the owner and if we wanted it, we could have it. So, I gave it to DD, since she'd found it.

You know, as much as I don't like Ron, I would have voted off Nicole in a heartbeat. It's a game and a competetion. Does anyone really think Ron's going to win it? And the blue cousins are MORONS. Big F'ING BABIES. They let their emotions run them and that's not good. They're worse than a typical hysterical woman. They're like banshees that don't SHUT UP. I hate them more and more as each episode airs. They're dumb to try and vote off Ron just because they're mad at him. Get over it, big f'ing babies. And WHAT ALLIANCE??? It's every man for himself - GARRRGGG. One of the cousins was complaining to Bob about Ron and Mike being there for each other at "any cost" well...what about the cousins? They'll be there to back each other up, so that was really hypocritical IMO. Kristin...eh...I can take her or leave her. Tara's my number one, and I didn't like Nicoles saying that you can't trust spastic people like that. I think Tara was just excited to have someone ELSE, someone who wasn't out to get her maliciously, but who would be a competitor. But, Tara is smart and given the chance to boot the 2nd strongest and give herself a clearer heading - sure! Why not? Mike is my 2nd fav...he's just cute and young and not tainted yet. All the others can suck it.

I have always heard that drinking hot or cold Water makes your body work harder (to either cool it down or warm it up). Recently on food Detectives, there was a segment about it, and it reaffirmed that theory, stating that ice-cold water was best because it burns more calories trying to warm up the water to body temp. Today, my boss was telling me that her doctor and another website she goes to says to ONLY drink room temperature water because too cold will shock the body and you won't lose weight. So, it got me thinking...what do you guys think? I know with the band, sometimes ice cold water and I don't get along well, but I do like ice-cold water in place of room temperature. Who else has heard room temp vs. icey...? Any theories?

Ew...I think I just got hit with spittle. -
I've peeled grapes before, but I really don't think they're worth it. Canned fruits are perfect, plus those little ones for kiddies are a good size, too. PJTP - Came home from the gym. DD and I went yesterday and today and I bribed her again. If we go every night this week, we'll get mani's on Saturday. :cool2: That got her going.

That's what makes FB a little tricky. I'm usually the first one to mix and mingle my different friend types, but it's touchy to have people from work there. Not because I feel weird, but because in reality it may harm me later. I have been burned by being too open with the wrong people in my life, but I'm insane enough that I never learn any lessons from it. One part of me thinks, "Eh, F'em if they can't take it...they don't have to read it." and the other part of me says, "Ooooh...that's not good - don't say that! Ohh..no, she said that. Hit DELETE! HIT DELETE NOW!" (Sometimes evil side wins, sometimes the good side gets to edit me.) But, I think I may stay away from adding too many work people. They're not friends anyway, so that makes it an easy decision. I posted a while back about my coworker out having her baby and another coworker read it and called the mother-to-be about it. (Okay, so she was 9 months preggie, it's not like it was a secret - BUT she was annoyed that I posted about it.) In my world, it effected me since I do her job when she's out. In her world, she didn't want anyone to notice her absence (for six weeks?). Anyway...I'd rather just keep it friends only for that reason. I DO enjoy bitching about work, so having work folks on there kinda makes that hard. (At least without stepping on toes, which in this economy - not something that above mentioned editor side of me wants to be doing!)

Ebony...I was taking a break from invoices, read about your walk and am getting up and away from the computer and taking a few minutes to walk! You're so inspiring!

Okay, thanks. What about what my boss said about how cold Water will shock your body into NOT losing weight? I hadn't heard that one, and don't have time to STFW right now...but I can ALWAYS read LBT!

Susan - Good luck! I find that when I'm relaxed and having fun, I can eat anything. When I'm kinda stressed, or in a hurry, I have problems with tons of stuff. Sushi is still my favorite, and depending on how fresh it is is what depends on my being able to handle it or not. I used to be able to use chop sticks and drop the whole thing in, chew twice and gulp 'em on down... Now, I bite into the same sushi pc about 3 times, chew-chew-chew and chew! Then I'm done after 1 or maybe 2 pcs. Why do they make sushi pcs so BIG?

Once Lane Bryant starting changing pants sizes I left. I'm dense and I don't get the red 1 and yellow 3 and all that "new fancy" stuff. I want to know if I'm still an 18 or not. I started at a 24, and now I'm 18's at Old Navy, shooting for 16's!

I've always liked the way it tastes better when it's cold. So, shrug...who knows! I'm always hearing conflicting stories about what's good, not good, etc... Eat less and move more seems to be the only thing that hasn't really changed.

Okay, I'm sharing this with ya'll but I'm not proud. I just cried at watching Mylie Cyrus cry when winning the Kid's Choice Award for something. 1 - I'm PMSing, and 2 - I'm sick with a head cold But, despite 1&2, I still cry like a baby over other stuff. Usually not Mylie F'ing Cyrus, but yeah - Ms. Waterworks here. Kat - Good luck to you in your new job! Your DH's place sounds like ours. Global layoffs, same sort of deal with the field ops. It's so stupid. And, now it's been announced that we're going from division to one big corporate family. SO looking forward to that...no division can get anything right and now we're combining? GREAT...

Morning all. I saw Les Miserables last night for the first time - IT WAS GREAT. A friend at work had an extra ticket (she and hubby have season tickets and he went fishing - ha) So, she and I had a little date night. Both of us were crying so hard at the end we looked like idiots.

Mac, yeah, I'm one of the ones that usually tells everyone everything. But since Facebook has work folks, family folks, folks from high school that I haven't seen in forever, then I'd rather not talk about the surgery. But, I'm also the kind that will hint about it, and if something slips I wouldn't sweat it.

Did that work? I'm at work and it I just see a square with an X in the corner, which means I may be able to see it at home, but not here where some imagings are blocked. :smile2: Go figure.

:smile2: LOL I pronounced it like the way a toad would sound if it could talk.

That didn't work! :smile2: lol

Gollum, gollum.... (said as Smeagal hacking up a fur ball) In typing that, and in acting it out at my desk, I just realized I need my coffee. Oh, and that I'm a nerd.

Who? And, because I got an error message telling that "Who?" is too short, I'll say it again, but it ruins the joke! ....who?
