Ha! Touchy chick is scared of the late comer. Late comer is a more "Mother f'er get the f out of my face and give me your f'ing pencil" kinda gal. Touchy is more, "Um, excuse me...Um, can I borrow this pencil, please, um? maybe? It's okay if the answer's no." The M'fer is really a cool chick to talk to about stuff - outside of work, and Touchy is a great worker, just an annoying one. But, I hate the unfairness of it, more than I hate the annoyance of her. Like, right now, I'm about to tackle the stack of papers she has had since, I dunno - April!!! They are in two stacks, from the floor to her desk. I've been asked to help since she's so far behind. I really, really don't mind working - but I hate doing other people's jobs when they don't make an effort to do it themselves.

Funny you say that about lawsuit...she contacted her family lawyer (who has one of those just on the side, anyway?) and she said it was because of ME. That she was CYA'ing for anything against her from me. I said, Oh no...I am not a lawsuit kinda gal. I feel like I was straightforward and she didn't listen, and then my next course was to take it to him. But, I do feel bad. Next time I will handle it myself. I need to learn not to let that kind of thing effect me. I'd feel bad if she got the boot and the other chick still sat there giggling on the phone and getting away with murder. Head's need to keep low these days!

Okay ya'll...I feel like shit. A few weeks ago, a coworker grabbed me from behind and grabbed my fat, which was the THIRD TIME I've told her not to touch me. I don't like being touched. So, I snapped and went to her boss about it. I laid out all the stuff that I am tired of, and instead of talking with her he pulled in HR. HR told her that she needed to get therapy (she also talks about how her father died when she was little and she'll cry about it - a lot.) The boss told her, "the only reason you have a job right now is because you work hard." So, I feel sooo horrible. I really thought he'd just be a second voice, telling her not to touch me. But, he pulled in HR. Trouble is, she means well and is very sweet - and she is a hard worker. Compare that to the other lady, who just strolled in at 9:40 today, a few mins ago, and put her purse down and walked over to a friend's cubby - still isn't back yet. I just feel bad. If anyone should "get in trouble" it should be the other chick. But, I've posted before - the boss gets a hard on for that one, so HR will never be brought in for her. I feel like going to the HR lady and telling her all this, but the touchy chick asked me not to. I told her I'll never go to her boss again, and if I have a problem I'll just tell her to back off - and she agreed to actually back off. She apologized to me for touching me, and said I did the right thing. And, yeah, on paper I did - I escalated the issue because talking to her wasn't working. However, in my head, I knew that he's lacking balls.

I'm not going. My friend from VA is, though. (Actually, he's my ex-bf.) He'll be staying with us then going up to Dallas. Actually, since being in Houston I haven't found too many geeks like me. They mostly just drink and eat here. I miss NOVAG and WGA.

Morning all. Ebony - great accomplishment on the goal! :bored: You're doing so well, even though things are stressful! Congrats! I joined up on the cool running website...myactive.com, I think. I'm restarting the c25k program, only I'm at week 3. Week one and two are already kinda easy, but week 3 kicks my butt. So, I'll work on that. I'd love to be a runner one day! Kat - yay...a new baby. I am definitely at the point in life where I love other people's babies, then love being able to hand them back when I'm done or they get cranky! PJTP - Just got called into a meeting that I am totally unprepared for. I hate being out of the loop, but then called in to make the bosses look good. I AM good, but damn it, some head's up please!

Ebony, I'm soo sorry that you're going through this crap. HOWEVER, I KNOW you are smart enough to spin that on your interviews. When I first moved to TX, my boss was HORRIBLE. I think she must have had some mental issues...I think I've posted about her before. I worked there from June to Aug and one day just put a sticky on her computer and walked out. In my interviews, it was very easy for me to say that there was a conflict in managment and it was best that I move on. I think that the good bosses are people oriented enough to know that if you have a GREAT history and ONE bad boss, then it's not you, it's the boss. HA!

Seeing HP this weekend! I'm excited. I think I have celeb crushes on the weirdest folks. I like Prof Snape. I felt sorry for him in the books and I'm an underdog kinda gal! Him and Spock (the new one) and I'm swooning at the movies.

LOVED Marley and Me. The movie, like usual, didn't do the book justice. And, as Arthur, I loved it when she says to him: "Give me your hand." And he replies, "But, then, that would only leave me with one." I didn't realize they were from books. I've read and heard all about True Blood but I. Can't. Like. Another TV show!! Ack! Too many boob tube moments now! My favorite Anne Rice book is A Feast of All Saints. Heart wrenching! I love the Eye of the World series by Robert Jordan and was devastated to hear of his passing. He didn't finish the series, so his wife will work with another author to finish that last book. I'd been reading that series for 20 years! Another series that I recommend is the Belgariad. A softer version of the Eye of the World. Oh, and Ender's Game! I cried sooo hard at the end of that one. I know it's an old thread, but I love to read! I just wish I had more time.

It needed hijacking! I agree with HH 100% - you are strong! I just hate seeing children go through stuff like that. Kids and pets are my weaknesses, and I always try to prevent/help any pain that they're in. (Everyone else can suck it! lol)

G4E - I know what you mean! I hate not being able to "do anything" because of medical stuff. You just want to say, "let me do it!" But, you're doing good not to give in. I'm here...at work. My lazy co-worker isn't. The chatty/touchy one is, though. Why can't I scientifically combine them and take the cool, calm and fun-loving from the lazy chick and the dedication, honesty and intelligence from the touchy one?
