Yay you! I still remember how excited I was when I got my approval, because of some paperwork trouble I got my approval and surgery date within a week of each other. Didn't have time to get too nervous. You may have some struggles at the very first, but even they are nothing compared to how good you will feel within a few weeks of surgery. I am 4 1/2 mos out and feel great! Down 77 lbs total, 56 down from surgery day. Good Luck~

I actually had the lap band from 2007 removed and revised to RNY bypass. Lap Band failed, after it was repositioned during gall bladder surgery in 2008. I am sooooo pleased that I spoke with my surgeon about the revision to by pass. I believe it will be a life changer for me and my family. I have 4 grandchildren from my wonderful step daughters, and two adult children of my own. Now I can interact with them all and be active in their life. I am so looking forward to riding the rides with them. Going boating again with them. Living and sharing my life with them. I already feel so much better. Good luck on your journey as well.
