Hi, I am Bob 54 years old and in the pre-op stage. I have jumped through most of the hoops to have a vertical sleeve. At first, I was excited to go through with the surgery, now Im a little scared. While doing my research a book titled "The Emotional First Aid Kit" a practical guide to lfe after bariatric surgery, was a recomended read. Has anyone read it? I feel the book is poorly written , but does contain some good tips along with some imformation making me question the surgery. The book basically states that if you cant eat like one would post-op you would be back up to weight in no time. If I could eat that way today, I wouldnt require the surgery. Dont get me wrong I am not being negitive just scare about conquering my devils.
