Crock-pot mesquite chicken fajitas!! Super simple and delicious! Bell peppers cut into strips, onion-sliced and cut in half, 2 or 3 mesquite chicken breasts(fully cooked from Sams). add 1 can of diced tomatoes, garlic, a little lime juice and a packet of your favorite taco seasoning. Cook on high for 3 hours, and pull the chicken apart, and cover and cook another hour. I didn't include measurements, because it is entirely up to you! Make it your own! Hubs eats it with a flour tortilla, I just eat it with a fork. Mmmmmm

Yep, it worked. I dropped 6 pounds, and it hasn't come back. I plan to do this again around the holidays, and then again in January. so I meet my goal in April for my 1 year anniversary.

Did you use the doctors of KC Bariatric (Hoehn, Hamilton or Aragon)?
wannaBthinsoon replied to shriner37's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hoehn is my surgeon too. Each time I visit (3 month, 6 month) the goal changed. I was doing so well, that Tim said I will likely reach my goal. (At first they estimated 80%). Just follow the plan. Tim had me to a 5 day liquid diet at 6 month, because I didn't lose as much as he would've liked. He wants me to reach my goal at 1 year. I will probably do the 5 day liquid diet again during and after the holidays. Beat of luck to you. We had the best surgeon EVER! -
I took mine like at midnight before my surgery. That held me through till after the surgery.

Pretzel sticks. I stalled because of them. No more pretzels for me.

second day of 5 day pouch test
wannaBthinsoon replied to akreese02's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
a few of us just completed out 5 day reset. The headache is real!! Also, nausea is common. But all of it is worth it. I broke my stall and brought me to Onederland....FINALLY!! The 5 fay pouch test works great, and I plan to do it around the holidays to keep my restriction in check, also. -
HELP! (No, it's not really THAT dramatic????)

That's great!!! What does your typical day look like liquid wise while on liquids only? I have 3 Premier Protein shakes. one for Breakfast, one for lunch, one for dinner. If I get hungry between meals, I will have broth or sf Popsicle. I drink lots of Water, as well. It's the preop liquid diet that I followed. Except in preop I was supposed to have 4 shakes, but I worried that 120 gms of Protein might be too much. -

Sitting in a bath
wannaBthinsoon replied to monica36's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can shower, but no bath or pool (or hot tub) for 2 weeks post surgery, according to my post op instructions from my surgery center. -
That's right. She first has to help herself. This surgery is just a tool, not a cure. Friendships and marriages end after someone has WLS. I read about it all the time. It's not your fault. Keep doing what's right for you, and keep the positive, uplifting people in your life. Negativity breeds like a cancer, and you don't need the negativity.

Ideas for ready made stuff I can buy to eat?

When did you start eating cherry tomatoes
wannaBthinsoon replied to sarahbethemails's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I can fill my sleeve to the brim with cherry or grape tomatoes, I love them THAT much. I have to stay away from them, because when they are in my house I will eat them, and have no room for protein. -
@@Ritcheycop Welcome, and I wish you all the best. Like the poster ahead of me stated...the site has tons of good info. Have fun reading! You'll learn a lot!! I did. I made some friends here too.

Corn. Corn is pretty good, I think. I had the sleeve, and I'm 6 months out. I know I have had corn. I don't think there is anything out there i can't have. Maybe some things I shouldn't...so I steer clear of those things. But I don't think a little corn would hurt you. I don't eat any type of bread, so I can't really speak about breads. I fear bread.

Do You Have a Weight Loss Surgery Role Model?
wannaBthinsoon replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@Elode HEY!! I can take it!! Thanks for being there for me, too! -
I found out what "mindless eating" was just this week. I am 6 months post op. The Doc wanted me to jump start my stall, so he had me do 5 days of liquids (like pre-op). I lost about 8 pounds, and now my sleeve has a tight restriction again (YAY). But mostly I realized that I had been mindlessly eating pretzels before this liquid diet. We have a big sams club barrel of pretzels in my kitchen, and I was eating a handful every time I went in there. Not tracking them either. Hence....the stall. Lesson learned!

Do You Have a Weight Loss Surgery Role Model?

@@Alex Brecher my role models came from this site, oddly enough. I have friends who have had the surgery but no one as open as the folks I've met on this site. -
Advice on how to get all your water in
wannaBthinsoon replied to tink401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm back to drinking like a normal person, so I have no problem drinking. Early on, I sipped all the time, and I also kept Water with me at all times. I sipped all the time. In the car, at work, on walks...all the time. It's a challenge, but it's necessary. I got a couple of those Nalgene bottles with measurements on it, so it was easy to measure out how much water I was getting in.. Now I just judge by the ounces on my Ozarka water bottles. -
@@hollybower I was 32 when I had my radical hyster. I was on HRT till I had surgery when I was 53. I stopped it on my own. Only issue I have is vag dryness. The HRT is a cancer causer, and I don't want any of that in my body anymore. There is always KY to help with my problem.
