    Hair cut after hair loss

I started Biotin 4 years ago when I started growing out my hair and I have not missed a day. That and zinc. I'm not too worried. If it sheds, it sheds. It will grow back in while I am getting healthy!

    Does your surgeon...?

some folks say the 1 or 2 weeks of liquid diet prior to surgery is your bowel prep.

    Hair cut after hair loss

different parts of the year I shed at least that much, and I have not had the surgery yet. That looks almost normal to me. I doubt I go short. It took me 4 years to grow out a pixie cut, and I'll never do that again! But I have no idea what I will look like thinner, so I may consider bangs or a nice layered cut, but keep the length. My friends who have had the surgery say their hair did thin some, but not enough for anyone but them to notice.

United Healthcare UHC 6 Month Motivated Attempt

I gained too. But then I found out they dropped the requirement, so no worries for me. You, however might want to do what I did on the month after I had a gain. I did a week of high Protein, no bread or sugar, and I dropped 10 pounds in 10 days, and went back to the Dr and had them document that weight instead. Of course I wasn't able to KEEP it off, but it showed I was trying. I think the diet is just a silly hoop. Just do your best.

    Guess who got insurance approval

Congratulations! Have you picked a date yet?
  13. Seriously! It's every single commercial!! If it's not about a diet center, it's about a diet supplement, or a super duper magic somethingerother, where if you BUY into it, you'll lose massive amounts of weight....GUARANTEED!!!! I'm thinking about quitting TV and just sticking with Netflix. The commercials just make me mad. They RUINED me. Those diet centers did. They made me yo-yo for 30 years. GRRR Ok, I'm done now. Thanks for letting me vent.

  15. The extra "W" hopped in there all by itself!
  16. Have you tried using the My Fitness Pal app? It is a super cool way to "manage" your Protein. There is a "nutrition" tab after you enter your meals that shows you how much fat grams, protein grams, sodium, etc.....so it makes it super easy to plan out your day to make sure you get in your protein. It has a bar code scan feature as well, and captures the nutrient list in your tracker. VERY COOL. (disclaimer...I am not associated in any way with my fitness pal. But I like the features!)
  17. I started this journey last April. Knowing full well that my hubs insurance did not cover WLS. I quit smoking. I had a sleep study and was diagnosed with sleep apnea, and now use a c-pap. I went on a 6 month PCP supervised diet, which was just completed in time for my new insurance to be in effect. Someone I work with told me UHC will require ANOTHER 6 month PCP supervised diet once I have the insurance, beginning in January. WHY?? How does that make sense? The doctor kept record, he kept notes. I kept a food journal. I weighed in each month without fail. WTF?!! Am I worrying for no reason? I contacted the bariatric hospital who works directly with my insurance, and they said that since I did all this (already) I would only need 3 additional appts to be submitted for approval. But my heart is broken thinking I will have to start back at square one. That could damage my attitude beyond repair. Anyone out there know???
