I am off this week as pto, and the next 3 as short term disability. Taking off the full 4 weeks allowed by my employer!! Gives me time to get used to this new lifestyle, and get into a routine. Plus, I have nothing to wear back to work yet. Ineed to lose a few more pounds, then I'll raid my closet. -

@@erose321 I heard that about those Vitamins. I use the ones from the bariatric center I go to. But I don't even start those till my week anniversary. -

yep...you'd only need help with lifting. I'd just not lift until you are released to lift. My husband wants to do for me...anything. But, I don't need help. I would love it if he would do the laundry, but really....I did it the night before surgery, and we both have enough undies and socks to make it till I can lift 15 pounds again. You can definitely do this by yourself. -

@@LisaAlwaysSmiling yep! felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest for two days. I used a gasx strip, and I have belched and "broke wind" quite a bit, and it's gone now. It never traveled to my shoulders either, thank goodness!! -
I would skip it if it were me. Your hair is going to thin out some anyway (probably) you don't want it fragile where it could break off too. But that's just me. My hair fine, so I never color mine, due to breakage.

I gave up real coffee 2 weeks prior to my surgery, because I knew I wouldn't be able to have it afterward. I switched to decalf during those 2 weeks. I am only post op 2 days, but I don't crave coffee like I thought I would. I am craving Water...which seems very weird to me. -

I woke up super early this morning,(I fell asleep at 7:30pm last night) I got up at around midnight and took some liquid hydracodone, and right now I am not in pain. YAY!! I took off the nausea patch they put behind my ear.....I kept touching. They stress..."DON'T TOUCH IT!!" but I did, so I removed it, Still trying to figure out how to take an omeprazole capsule. I broke one open last night, and that was nasty. -

I survived the surgery! I am home now, but feel like crap. I have heard that it will pass, and I will feel really good in a few days. I'll be happy to see that day when I don;t feel like crap..Not sure how peeps actually go back to work in a week. -

Before we leave for the hospital, I had the hubs take body shots for the "before" pictures. Front, Side and back. YUCK! Ok....THAT's incentive enough to get this party started! -
