    UNITED HEALTHCARE PPO

@@taweedeegirl Yes mind did require supervised Dr visits with discussion on diet and excercise. Weight had to be recorded at each visit. There was no specific number of visits required though. But I did 6 monthly visits to be safe. UHC didn't require any history of high BMI either, that was dropped last year.

    Dinner invitations...

If it's at a restaurant, you can order off the a la cart menu. That's what I did. You can order Soup, or something else that is ok for your limitations. I went to Breakfast with my family the other day. I ordered of the "a la cart" menu and got 2 eggs any style (scrambled). When everyone's meals came, I scraped 1/2 my eggs onto my hubby's plate, because no way I would be able to eat all them eggs!! Plus they would just get cold if I waited till I was done before letting him have the rest. I am pretty good an knowing how much I can eat...............and it ain't much! (4 weeks out)
  4. @@MissLiss You can update your weight at the bottom right if you scroll all the way down. Or you can update it under "my surgery" in your profile at the very top of the page on the right.

    Squeamish Sleeve

@@LaLa Lady Nope, I haven't had any issues with my new tiny tummy. It likes everything like it always did, and I've never been squeamish over things like that, having being raised on a farm. Hope you feel better soon.

@@Sharon616 The hospital pumped you full of fluids. Give yourself a break from the scale for a while and just focus on recovery, and staying hydrated. It'll come off.

@@Mary Jane T Good to see you again, on a more "positive" topic! I cannot comment on your post, as I have not been a caregiver, but I couldn't let the opportunity to greet you this morning pass by.

    QUESTION

This is a first for me....to see it put like that. "Only" a 100 pounds. as @@CowgirlJane says above, 100 pounds is alot. I should know. I was 100 pounds overweight myself. Now I'm "only" 99 pounds overweight.

    Liquid Tylenol

@@jm726 might be the sugar in it. It is super sweet. I bought some for when I didn't need the rx stuff, and I can't stand the taste. It is soooo sweet it's sickening!

    Liquid diet day 2 sucks!

@@HedwigPotter You can do it. Look at the BIG picture. It is only a short time that you have to endure the preop diet. Then you have your surgery, and you are on your way to a slimmer healthier future. Wishing you all the best.

    Lying to feel better?!?

@@Mary Jane T Don't let this one thread scare you off. I was a little shocked when I read it. It is as if the OP was ASKING to be set straight, because no one with any common sense or compassion would post such things. Most of us are a great group, and enjoy lifting folks up, and offering our experience when questions arise. You will get honesty from us, and sometimes it isn't all hearts and flowers. Sometimes it's a kick in the rear. But it is what it is........because most of us CARE.

    How did it feel?

I agree with those above who said "Relief". I was so relieved to be DONE jumping through hoops, done appeasing my insurance company, and meeting all criteria. I also had no nausea, and after an hour nap, I was up walking every hour till I went home the next day at 8am.

I snip them off too. If the scissors are really sharp, and you snip very quickly you don't feel it. They do bleed for a bit though.
