When did you get your EGD?

My EGD was done after approval for surgery, and two weeks prior to surgery...in case of H-Pylori, and the need to be on antibiotics for 2 weeks if I had had H-pylori (which I didn't). Good luck!
  2. @@jess9395 Use the smaller box of Jello.
  3. If you like the taste of Jello, I like to do this.....I mix up 1 pkg of sugar free jello with a cup of hot Water and stir till the jello is dissolved. Then slowly mix it into a cup of plain Greek yogurt and then refrigerate it. The texture is like "whipped" yogurt and the flavor is amazing! My favorites are lemon and peach. Orange is good too.

I am flat out hungry (rant)

I was super hungry too, up until my 3rd month. I never gave in to the hunger..I weighed and measured, and ate only my 3 meals per my NUT's instructions, and then one day, out of the blue, I stopped being hungry. It was an actual "moment" when I noticed the hungry went away. I discussed it with my psych, and he said I was right on track, and it was perfectly normal. So, hang in there, it will resolve itself. Just do what your NUT advises.

    Plantar Fasciitis

I had PF for years and the only thing that relieved the pain were those Skechers round bottom shoes that were supposed to "exercise" your legs and butt. (they got in trouble for saying that!). I think they must have stretched the tendon, because after wearing those shoes, I no longer have the pain. I can wear any shoes now or go bare footed with no pain. I don't endorse them, that is just what helped me. Heavy or not, I had the PF, and now I don't. I kept one pair, in case the pain ever comes back.

How do you know you're full?

So weird. Today I've had to force myself to eat something at meal time, (not much at all) and I just have NO hunger. Nothing sounds good, tastes good, feels good. Where is my appetite today?

How do you know you're full?

@@BizzyB I've come close to puking, but have not puked yet either! I guess that is something to be proud of. I really want to avoid that at all cost! Now the constipation is another thread....but I still hate it.

    Funny throat noises????????

@@Indiesophie75 YES! I am also a "gurgler"! It is a little embarrassing. But no one really says much. They all know I had the surgery, and that I will make weird noises. There are a lot of us there that have had the surgery.

    Smoking

Yep! You have to or you don't get the surgery! I quit a year before my surgery. I wanted to be sure I was healthy, and my lungs were able to handle the anesthesia. It was totally worth it. I don't miss them. Sure, I gained, but I also had the surgery, so I've lost, and I'm still losing. But I'm not coughing, and I don't stink of cigarette smoke anymore.

    Former smokers. where ya at?

I quit cold turkey one year prior to my surgery, because I wanted the surgery, and because I wanted to be one year smoke free before I went under general anesthesia. I did it. I smoked over 35 years. No one EVER saw me without a cigarette hanging out of my mouth. (so ladylike). I was such an addict. Glad those days are behind me. And so is the 50 pounds I've lost since my surgery!
  21. @@NikkiDoc I did the Quick Weightloss Centers too! As well as LA Weightloss!! I thought I was the only one!! HAHAHA! I did lose 60 pounds in 3 months with Quick Weightloss Center. I remember having to get up at 4am, drive 40 miles to weigh in, drive all the way home another 40 miles to get my shower and get ready for work, drive to work (30 miles). Work, drive home. go to bed, get up and do it all over again. I had to meet my counselor 3 times a week!!!
