    Food Funeral, Last Meals?

I intended to have a food funeral but I got busy, and didn't have time. I wish now I would've had a great big salad. I miss my salads. I used to have a big one for lunch every day. Now, my sleeve really doesn't like salads at all.

@@Elode Super cute!! AND you are wearing those boots I want!! and the dress looks better on you than on the model in the other picture.

make PB2 into a paste with water and it tastes better than name brand peanut butter!
  5. @@MissAKY Cookies and cream is the best, then fuzzy navel and strawberry.
  6. Syntrax Matrix flavors, I have found, are the best tasting. I order mine off Amazon. (I enjoy reading about your journey)
  7. I never had to use the biotene spray. I bought it just in case, but didn't need it. The GASX strips are great. I still have to use them once in a while. See....I can't burp. It's the strangest thing.
  8. Oh the Dryer! OMG, I can dry my jeans now!! Now that is an exciting NSV!!!

CANDY, ICE CREAM AND CAKE?!! Sorry...didn't mean to yell, but WTH?! Yes, get rid of those things. You need Protein and veges. You should not have room for those other things I just typed in all CAPS. Are you kidding?!!

    Sleep Apnea?

53 yrs old, diagnosed OSA, CAP machine for 1 year prior to surgery. 1 month post op-no more snoring, lowest setting didn't work for me, it was blowing itself off my face. I took it back, fired my pulmonologist, and my hubs says I no longer snore. I always wake up rested, and never feel the need for a nap in the middle of the day. I sleep fabulously, and I always feel awesome when I get up, and all day long.

    Did your energy improve?

Energy has improved a thousand percent! I'm 53.
  12. @@Dub Welcome! I, like many, love my sleeve. I had an "uneventful" recovery, and things have been great for me. I just follow my surgeons and nutritionist's rules and eat my Protein first, drink my Water, get in all my steps, and I feel wonderful. I didn't want to lose all my weight right away. I wanted it to be at a slower rate so my skin would keep up, ,and so far, I'm petty stoked about my results. I haven't hit goal yet, but like others have said, it is not a race. I hope to be close to goal by my one year surgiversary, but that doesn't mean at a year the weight loss has to stop. If I don't meet my goal by then, I will continue to follow the rules and continue to lose it in a healthy way. The tool doesn't stop working at a year. The tool works as long as you work the tool. Take care!!

    The last supper...

I had every intention of having my "food funeral" or "last supper" the day before my preop diet was to begin, and then I got busy, and my hubs got busy, and it didn't happen. lol But, I guess it wasn't supposed to happen. So.....I did not binge before I started the 1 week preop. I lost 15 pounds on preop. Really glad I didn't have time to binge!

    My Doctor faked my surgery!

What did I miss? Is someone being not so nice? Hope it's not me that is thought of as not so nice. I always try to be supportive, and share my experiences.

    Vitamins/supplements

My surgical team have me on Bariatric Advantage chewable multi's and calcium citrate chews (500mg). I bought them monthly at the hospital for $75. Now I have them auto shipped from Bariatric Advantage website, which was recommended by my surgical team. It now costs me $67 (cheaper due to auto ship). $250 is too much.

    My Doctor faked my surgery!

I'm 5 months post op, lost lots of weight, feel great (constipation aside), had no hair loss.....It's WONDERFUL!! I feel like the posterchild of Sleeve surgery! In fact people I know have been inspired by my uneventful recovery, that they also have had the surgery! I should ask for a referral fee!!

No to all of the above
  20. @@Babbs DITTO!!! Constipation. The only complication I have had, but I was worried after the first and 2nd severe "bout" of it, that I would have to have it surgically removed. Can you imagine?!!! One word.....PRUNES!!

    Your Daily and Weekly Planning?

I'm in a rut. I am like many and eat pretty much the same thing, because I know it doesn't make me sick. I have gotten some recipe books and I try to get ideas online, and in the forums here, but I just can't find the time to cook. The stuff I eat now is healthy, it's just always the same thing. I think that's why I gained weight to begin with, because I have no imagination to cook up recipes, so I ate stuff that was loaded with carbs. Oh and I can't eat seafood. But I am watching this topic for ideas.

    Bathroom?

YES!! The constipation was my only REAL complication. Now that I am out several months, I eat prunes daily. They work better for me than stool softeners in a bottle.

    Insure protein just delivered

I attempted to so this, and My Dr told me NO. He said once my insurance co realizes what's going on, they will deny, and I will be billed, even though they said they would never bill me. I closed my account. One girl I work with got a delivery. Everyone else has been denied. We all have the same insurance. I trust my Dr. If it sounds too good to be true....well....you know the rest.
