Figured out how to crop my pictures… so here is my bike. I did quite a bit of riding and a little bit of racing when I was in high school. Back then I could only dream of an Italian bike. Now I have one and it is the bomb.

I think the BIMBO jersy is great, it wouldn't work for me though. I just assume that the jersey store would have jerseys for men as well. Silly me.

I am about 45 minutes outside of New Orleans in Hammond, LA. I posted a picture of the bike a while back and have some before and after pics up. Will try to post a picture of the bike again as the last one was huge. If you go to my profile I think there is a pictur there.

The jerseys are great, can you post a link? Weather was great this weekend in the mid 70's only managed to get 16 miles in thought. Had swim meets with the kids. Nothing on tap next weekend looking to put in 30 or 40 miles.

Before and After Lap Band Surgery - PICTURES ONLY
BuffettPhan replied to DeLarla's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thanks for the help Suzzzie. I hope this works. The pictures in the blue shorts were taken a few days after I started the pre-op diet, towards the end of Sept 07, 290lbs. And the others were taken Jan 27, 2008 (last night) Haven’t been to the Dr. for a few weeks so I am not 100% on my current weight but the home scale says 247lbs for a 43lbs loss. -
An hour before I eat I make it a point to drink a 32oz bottle of water, it’s a refillable bottle I bring every place I go. I can easily get my water in that way.
-
If I don’t drink mine I am hungry all the time. Rather than buy pre made drinks try a powder that you can mix with water. I get a big thing of Protzime (sp) it mixes with a spoon and last about 2 –3 weeks depending on how many I drink. I buy it at Anytime fitness. At a min I drink one a day in the morning for breakfast and my cost on the mix is $30.00. If I don’t use a protein drink I notice I eat more and don’t loose as much.

If I did this right you should be looking at my new bike. sorry about the size feel free to re-size

Hoosierpoms, I am from Hammond, a little town just outside of New Orleans. I was banded at the Surgical Specialists of Louisiana, Dr. Thomas. As for the bike, I have pictures but have had no luck uploading them.

I just bought a bike yesterday! A MASI, it’s a racing bike, I haven’t been in the saddle since 90, but have dropped enough weight to make the idea of a road bike appealing. I also didn’t want to buy two bikes.

I was one that drank a 2liter a day of diet coke, from the time I got up until I went to bed. For the pre-op diet I was told no soda. Since mid September of o7 to date I have not had any soda. I still have a coffee in the AM, gota get my caffeine. I drink between two and three 32 oz. Bottles of water a day. And have discovered tea, celestial seasoning has so many to choose from. If I need to sweeten it up I use honey, from a local beekeeper. I find when I don’t get all my water in I have a much bigger appitite.

So I have 3 fills in now and have some restriction, only started to notice after this last fill. I find that I still eat way too fast (working on that). Man when I do it hurts like hell. I am a slow learner and have at least one episode a day. Christmas has been hell with all the cakes and breads. That is what seems to get stuck the most. I get one bite and then pitch the rest, pain has been a great motivator. I have not had a PB, yet, and after a minute or two of the most intense pain it passes. Is this restriction or not normal?
-
That is totally normal. I didn’t notice a difference until fill two. Now with self-control I have done Ok, but after fill 4 I can tell big time. Just eat slowly and ask yourself if you are really hungry and do you need the next bit. Also make sure you get your protein it is a must to curd your appetite.
-
Trying to remember to chew my food have been stuck a few times but not to the point of PB. I can feel drink and food like I have never felt them before, this must be restriction. Feels almost as if it is backing up.

TENaciousTENS "roll call" as promised!

Holidays were a bit rough, all the great food and sweets. I had a fill the week before Christmas and with a little bit of exercise was able to loose 3.5 lbs. I went for my 4th fill yesterday and I feel a good bit of restriction while drinking. Hope this does the trick as I am ready for the weight to start falling off. -
4th fill in today now at 4.7 cc’s in a 10cc AP band. Have only had liquid today but can tell it is not going down as fast as it once did. Regular food in the AM so I must remember to chew and take small bites.

nina874 RE: Look at these pictures and tell me that the people involved are any less savage than the people that they claim to hate for the very same reason. Abu Ghraib POW torture Pictures And for the record the allied troops are shooting children, blowing up hospitals etc etc, to say otherwise is just ridiculous. The United Nations have a running total of all civillians killed by allied fire and a large precentage of them are children. Just because they arent 'Christian terrorists' and are in fact acting on the orders of their governments doesnt alter what they are doing." Re: Where were we when the Hutus and the Tutsis were commiting mass genocide? What did we do about Rawanda? Get a grip!!!! What took place at Abu grab was NOTHING like what has happened to those captured by the insurgents. Intimidation and humiliation yes … but none of them died. Radical Islam is screwing the religion of Islam in the A$$. And until the moderates in Islam demand and take back their so-called peaceful religion they will all be labeled the same. As for your crazy claim “… for the record the allied troops are shooting children, blowing up hospitals etc, to say otherwise is just ridiculous.” To say that the allied troops are deliberately targeting civilians is a load of crap. I will conceded there have been a few limited cases of allied troops behaving badly, but those actions are nothing like that of the insurgents. I have a good friend that is serving in Iraq in the intel area. And some ogf the things the insurgents do is deplorable. The chief of one town refused to stor munitions for the insurgents and as retaliation. The took him put a gun in his hand and by force pulled the trigger. The barrel of the gun was placed against his young daughter head. Now get a mental image of that and compare to your Aub Garb B.S picture link. As for your mention of Rwanda, that bloody mess was going to happen no matter who stepped in. But the number of dead was so high in large part due to the mass ineffectiveness of the UN. Had the UN had the balls to act instead of farting around and trying to define genocide. Many lives could have been saved. If you have not already seen the movie “Hotel Rwanda” I suggest you watch it.”
