Here is my photo, HW 515 SW 455 RNY 6/23/14, the second photo was last Monday at 369, and as of this morning, CW 364. -
I also had surgery on the 23rd. I didn't have a drain, although I have had bad pain on the lower left side. It is finally starting to get better, I hope you feel better soon!

I am having my surgery on June 23rd! It seems like it has been forever, and now it is so close!
-
I have my testing on Friday, so i am hoping to get a date right after that. Hopefully we all have our surgeries close together. Maybe we will be in Pre-op classes together.
-
I agree that it sounds like stress eating, try and do something that helps you relax, it sounds like you help everyone else, and you need to care for yourself as well. Good luck!

My testing is May 16th in Logansport. I am kind of hoping for late June or early July.
-
I am doing the Rouxeny, and they said I will get a surgery date after my pre-op testing.

I dealt with Shalanda, and I got a response from Insurance within 24 hours last week. If you call Meridian Surgery and pick the insurance option, Shalanda answers. Good luck! I also have Dr. Evanson, I work in Rochester, so Logansport is doing my pre-op testing next week.

I am approved for surgery, and waiting for my surgery date. How long were you out of work after surgery? I have heard very different amounts of time. I have a desk job and no lifting needed.
-
I had been told by several people to expect one to three weeks off work for a desk job. But it is sounding like a Lot longer. Is there a reason?

scheduled for 4/29 and freaking out!

You will do great! I am approved and waiting for a surgery date, but I have been having the same anxiety too! Let us know how it goes for you! -
The Bariatric Center sent in my paperwork yesterday, and they called this morning, Approved! I had to do the 6 month weight loss, so this has been a long time coming, but I am in shock! It is very exciting, but also scary. Has anyone else felt anxiety or fear when you finally know it is going to happen??

Hello All! I am in northern Indiana, 40 minutes west of Fort Wayne. I had my orientation in November, 2013 with Dr. Evanson at St. V Carmel. I have to do the 6 month supervised weight loss, I am four months in and down 45lbs. I have Anthem BCBS, has anyone had experience with them? I am much heavier than a lot of people it seems like, (Started at 497) so I hope they will approve me. For those who have had the surgery, especially those with St. Vincent, how much time does it take to get insurance approval once submitted, and how long to schedule the pre-op classes? I am trying to plan (silly, I know) for work and what could be a few weeks off. Thank you all so much!! I have been so motivated reading all of your posts.... Natalie

I was so upset about the waiting process when I found out. I had met with my surgeon, did the orientation, was emotionally all hyped up. The next day I called insurance and was told to have medically supervised for 6 months. That was back in November, so I have two more appointments. Now that I have been doing this about 4 months, I think it is a good thing, I have changed my habits and I am on a 2,000 calorie diet. I think it will be an easier transition to the bariatric diet, (hopefully). I wish you guys the best of luck!!
