I found BariatricPal through the WLS informational session I attended. I'm getting the sleeve gastrectomy on Aug 22nd. My BMI is 40. If anyone has pros and cons about the sleeve, I'd love to hear them, in addition to what I read on the forum. I'm interested to know how much weight others lost in weeks and months after their procedure.
I have a lot of reasons for wanting to lose weight, most of all I think my self-esteem, health, quality of life and personal happiness. I imagine we're all kind of in it for some of those reasons.
I'm hoping to use BariatricPal as a resource as I get closer to surgery and in those crucial weeks and months afterwards, and for moral support.
