Hi I'm 3 days post op and I stayed one night in the hospital. I'm feeling good have some gas pains and it hurts a bit when I swallow and it hits my stomach but it's because of the gas. I slept so good in my bed last night! God Bless you all

Good morning. I had my sleeve yesturday and am doing very well. I started walking 5 hrs after surgery my chest felt so tight I got back to my room I started breathing test and that really really helped the feeling went away. In two hours I will have a barium upper gi to make sure there are no leaks. This is one of the questions I asked my doctor, how many leaks has he had, he stated 1 and because patient didn't disclose all medical history. So I was calm going in. With lots of prayers and God by my side I'm doing well so excited for this journey. I'll get to go home today!!

Awesome! Can I ask you how many times were you checked for leaks before you left the hospital? I have seen any posts? I'm being sleeved tomorrow and was told they wi check 3 times just curious if that's the norm?

I suggest you talk to a friend and ask them to be a back up in case it's needed. That may ease you mind. You ARE taking care of him by taking care of yourself. My husband is very supportive and I have my family I'm just one of those people that have to do everything for my son. Thanks for responding in sure it's normal to feel this way. Thank you

Tomorrow is my surgery and I'm so scared I stumbled across the complication site and had no idea no one ever told me about complications (did think so bad) I am having second thoughts just since last night! I have a 4 yr old and can't imagine not being well enough to take care of him! Please any advice scared and nervous!

Hello everyone my sleeve is scheduled tomorrow I'm so nervous I stumbled across the complication site and now I'm terrified I have a 4 yr old and I just am scared! Thus far I've felt so good about my decision everything fell into plAce and now after reading complications I'm so scared and doubting myself?? Has anyone felt like this?

Hi my surgery is tomorrow and I'm getting really nervous and doubting last night I was reading the complications omg scared me I'm thinking of not going I have a 4 yr old not sure!! Stressing!!!

Oh my I cheated my pre op diet today! I'm a week in (April 28 getting sleeved) I ate a hamburger party with cheese and raw vegetables!!! I'm so upset with myself but the family was enjoying Easter egg hunt and BBQ I just felt left out! I have 7 days until surgery I will be good.

Thanks relief57! I'm hoping a week would be enough time and need no meds. When I had my gallbladder out I didn't take any medication!

Hi yes April 28!!!!

I'm doing pretty good. .was a nervous wreck few days before surgery. I checked in the hospital on tues @7am..was discharged 1:45pm..I was able to eat ice chip and popsicle at the hospital and was about to use restroom. Haven't been nauseous at ALL..still in stock..I have been medicine, use it a little bit only. And nausea medicine. .didn't even open that bottle yet since I got home on Tuesday. .not hungry at all..more mental hungry can I'm not chewing only liquid til next Wednesday. Sipping on my Water bottle , broth and Protein drinks. .small sips. Only thing that hurt is the gas pain. .OMG!! Feel bloated and pressure in left shoulder and next..taking gas X. Helps a little. .you will do great. .I was freaking out prior to surgery for no reason. .trust me..The gas pain is the worst. I have 5 small incisions. .very tiny. .Please keep me posted after your procedure. I'm glad to hear it went so well for you!! Puts me at ease a bit! Thank you for sharing keep me posted on how your feeling!

I feel the same I bought the advantage banana uh it makes me want to vomit and the smell is gross. I found pure protien at Walmart 23g protien and they are good!!
