  1. WOW, you just put to words all my fears about the surgery. Do I really have what it takes for the long-haul? If I could do all that's on the list, I wouldn't be in this situation. How will the band make the difference? I am looking forward to the groups response because what you said is the fear that's holding me back. Thank you, thank you for putting it to words for me. Penny
  2. I'm new and not banded yet........I also don't know what PBing is. I love all the info and good, healthy support. I will be well educated going into this new phase of my life.....at least after I know what PBing is! Penny

    Depressed

I have been approved but not scheduled yet. One of my fears is falling back into bad habits because I am an emotional eater. I am wondering if Overeaters Annon. is something that anyone has experience with. I have looked at some of the signs of compulisive eating that OA has on their website and I see a lot of those signs in the way I eat. I am trying to prepare not only for the band, eating for the band lifestyle but also looking at the issues that have contributed to being at this point. I would appreciate any experiences with OA and emotional eating. Penny
  4. Hi everyone: I am new to this site so I hope I am responding to the correct thread. I am approved but not scheduled. I am most afraid of failing again like some of you have said. I am scared of giving up all the foods I love and being too weak again. Thanks to all of you for your support, I can see this will be an important part of my journey. Penny

What do you tell people at work

I just found out today that I am approved for the Band. I work with about 25 women, several of whom have lost a lot of wt on WW. I feel ashamed that I have not been able to lose wt the "old fashioned" way. I don't know whether or not to tell people partly because I'm afraid to fail again. I appreciate all the insights people have shared on this thread. Thank you, I look forward to using this site for support.
