Spankx Brand makes a pretty good line of under garments. I have one that goes from just under the breast to the mid thigh. There are no rods in it. They also have undershirt types that you could wear along with it. I saw one online today that you wear your own bra, but it slims the back on down to the thighs. I instantly felt better when I put it on. They are pricy, but last a long time. Please surround yourself with good, positive people who remind you often of your positive attributes. Tell yourself who you are and nobody will be able to change your mind of it. I know I don't know you, but you are a woman who was beautifully and wonderfully made! Ask for a nausea patch that goes behind your ear. It lasts for 72 hrs and works beautifully! There is also an anesthetic that will help you through your first couple days called experell. See if they carry that. It may help to take some Probiotics to bust your immune system after surgery, but will help with irregularity also. Taking a liquid form of pain meds worked for me because my tummy didn't have to work so has to break it down. Good luck!! I hope all goes well for you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

New Teeth to Match the New Plastic Rest of Me
MrsPJ replied to AvaFern's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi there! I have worked in the dental field for over 15 yrs and have seen some of everything. Considering your complexion, if you go too white, they will appear to have a greyish hue. In my opinion, I would go with the BL3 or BL4. Still beautifully white but won't look like that episode of Friends. If you are having Invisalign done, I would do that first then crown your teeth. After all is said and done, I would have them make you a night/ day guard depending on when you grind. I am not a dentist but I hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Hello there! I just love this forum! Such good advice from different people with different situations. I had the lipoabdiminoplasty done 3 days ago. I highly recommend getting one of those recliners that sit you up and lay you down electronically. My husband found it online at Walmart and was a fraction of the price of everywhere else, even Craig's list. Spanx shorts to breast has worked really well for me and you can still wear it for smoothing afterward. My abdominal compression garment isn't long enough cause I have a long torso. I went to the medical supply store and bought another one for $30. I hope this helps and good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

i was having some nagging pain in my stomch that after a few days on liquids didnt subside. I went into the office and they took an xray while I did a barium swallow. They said if I followed protocfol after 2 weeks on liquids, I should be ok. I havent beeback in since then. That was around Thanksgiving. Thankfully I havent packed on too many more pounds and fully plan on getting back to it. i hope thiss helps! enjoy the rest of your week!! -

Hi Wendy! It sounds to me like you are at the right place. At least that was the case for me. Im still not where I want to be but it is a journey Please take it from me and remember the small things like chewing your food completely and waiting 1 minute between bites. I have dialated my esophagus by not doing those things and eating much too quickly. Ive since had liquid taken out and have gained a few pounds back. I believe I am back to normal now so I may have another fill soon. Please stay encouraged and remember the small details and the reason you made this life changing decision. Keep yourself surrounded by encouraging people and if you mess up, get back to it. Tomorrow is a new day, make it count!!! -
Hi Jill! I just read your story and can empathize with you. It may have taken you five years to loose your weight, but you did it, regardless of what the "status quo" says about how quickly or how you are supposed to loose it. Keep yourself surrounded by those who encourage you to reach your goal and if you "fall off the wagon", hop back on and give it another go. There is not set time, method, or perfect regimen. We are all imperfect people who are striving to be a "better me. " So do just that. Be a better you one meal at a time. You can do it!!!!! Stay encouraged

So Ive been hanging around 207 for a while and my goal is 180. My Drs office says to start going to plastic surgeons to get a good idea of what I want. My first consultation is set for next month, but I would like to gather as much insight on what I'm getting into as possible. You can look at before and after pics day after day but I would love to hear some helpful hints from people who have experienced this. My husband prefers me being a bit "thick" and fears that if I get to 180 then have the surgery and loose 20-30 more pounds that I would look gaunt. I greatly appreciate it!!

Congrats! You are doing very well. Keep up the good work and stay encouraged!!

These things scare the crap out of me when they happen. I know that when they happen it is my fault, and that I should not eat or drink so close to going to sleep, but has anyone else experienced this? I also wanted to know if anyone else has trouble eating hamburgers? Bunless of course. We use the 90/10 ground beef but I had it around 8:00 pm and went to bed after 10:00 tonight and it just did not digest. The result was night coughs feeling like I asperated a piece of ground meat. After a lot of coughing, I feel better now but I do not foresee homemade burgers in my future for a long time!!
