  1. I have been quiet but am reading and the hair loss has begun and I am trying to increase the protein and of course taking the vitamins but my doc says that in a few months this too shall pass it definitely sucks, but being 80 lbs down in 4 months sure doesn't! I will take the hair loss and keep it moving!! Hope you are all doing will and getting thin!! Xo
  2. Ladies I want to say this to all of you please please keep on moving!! Literally when you have awful negative thoughts I want you to go for a walk breathe and know that you will look back at this second month and realize you were just going through the transformative phase! I too have had these negative thoughts but honies nothing feels as good as sitting in a booth and not thinking omg are my boobs going to hit the table or breathing hard going up 4 steps! Yes you are limited to food you had your stomach cut off but this is the time you need to train your mind what your body is forcing you to do food is fuel and you need to change the mental warfare that is going on in those pretty heads of yours! Therapy and speaking to your docs are key if you can't get out of the funk or are throwing up --- please go speak to people who can help if you need it. Sometimes we all need hints or a checkin because you never know there could me issues and you are the best ones to tell the docs something is wrong! Hang in there and know that in month 4 you will not feel this way I just know it!!! Xo
  3. You are doing excellent why the regrets??
  4. I actually have handled all spice very well. I think everyone's systems are different maybe try some more mild spices and then work up to the spicy!!
  5. I know we all get bored but find a new activity take a class or call a friend and go for a walk it is summer time!! I know for many antacids work well for an icky stomach too--maybe those will help you? Remember you are only 5 plus weeks out you are still healing some heal slower than others so give yourself some time and the next time something feels loose that I promise you will make ya feel better!! Hang in there lady! eggs are great!! Try them with a sprinkle of cheese and some green onions and some seasoning! Eggs are a staple in my diet and I was able to eat them since my soft food phase -- a hint make deviled eggs for a twist the mayo is worth the calories trust me!! Glad you are tracking so well I was able to lose 3.5 last week and this week I am hoping for that same result or maybe more! Not weighing myself everyday has helped my mind game!!
  6. I say the same thing!! So many skinny people pick and barely eat now I am with em...I think it makes some feel uneasy but I just have to keep it moving and keep my eye on the prize! Not having alcohol has been so hard but I just keep saying it's not forever just for a year! Small sacrifice for a new and improved me!
  7. I had to travel for work for the entire week 5 but I got through it!! I was so scared!! I barely ate at dinners and I packed protein shakes which helped so so much. I am learning how much of this is a mental game and also how my relationship with food is beginning to change -- slowly of course!
  8. Before WS: 285.5 Day of Surgery: 269 Today's weight - 249 Total weight loss so far 36.5 I feel good and am excited to hit the gym tomorrow and start to burn more calories and lose more lbs!! sky's the limit!!

Menstrual cycle is messed up :(

I just got mine and it was 10 days late I am assuming it's just my body and hormones adjusting I was hoping to just miss it all together! Lol
  10. Bluesea71 YES the god is telling you to step away from the carbs!! I am proud of you for realizing what you were doing and then doing the best thing for you! Dig deep and choose this journey- I know the cravings are hard but eat string cheese something to keep it moving! you can do this!
  11. I have also hit a stall once I switched to soft foods and have also read about the 3 week stall so maybe this is what is going on? I tried to add in some more cardio (shopping) since I can't really hit the gym until after my first doc appt next Friday. maybe more fluids and exercise will get me over the hump! I do know that reading about the other people who have had the stall in losing that it will pass --- just have to have patients! (I have none of course I want to be a skinny bitch hahahahaha)
  12. Thanks I will try the low sodium relish never thought of that! I am constantly looking for a way to make it easy to consume and low in calories now that I am in the soft foods phase. If anyone has other faves let me know always open to trying new things!!
  13. Thank you ladies! I ended up usin. Mayo and spicy mustard and that worked for me but the calories for a small amount of mayo is just so much I may look for lite mayo or something next time! Relish and onions are a great idea too!!
  14. I am about to try tuna fish for the first time but am nervous about using mayo any other recommendations for what to mix with it so it's not so dry? Let me know!

    Pureed food ideas? Help!

My doc said refried beans are a no no. I see a lot of people posting refried beans but they are highly processed and high in fat correct?
  16. I am doing good happy that tonight I will get to eat a scrambled egg and string cheese. Ah the little things. I feel great honestly and have since day two once I was off the pain medicine I can't wait to start working out more than a mile walk!

Please tell me im not alone!

I think that this is lines for telling your doctor and maybe seeing a psychologist for these feelings we are all feeling a loss hello we were all eaters and being on liquids is mentally challenging. Spitting out food or licking flavoring is not the answer keep telling yourself that soon you will have way more choices to think about and yes you will chew. I hope all of you choose health over unhealthy tricks that won't benefit you in the long run! Stick with your doctors orders and you will have success!
  18. How are all my fellow April 16th sleeves doing?? Tomorrow is our 2 week mark!! How is everyone feeling?
  19. Heidi7799

    Any April Sleevers?

I was able to get 64 fluid oz day 3 and onward. It can happen I drink throughout the day to get them in and try and drink my protein at 10 am and 5pm to keep the energy up. I want to encourage everyone to keep pushing this is a tool you have to change your mentality! I know that I could gain so I keep track of everything even sodium intake that could cause water gain.
  20. Thanks so much! I actually love my protein shakes and am just drinking crystal light and broth to break up the boredom. It's only a few weeks and then we get food right? I can do it
