I too have been failing. I went to a surgeon on Friday with the intent of going from band to sleeve and he refuses to do the revision. So, I have had a good look at what I eat and have came to grips that the slider foods MUST GO. I have stocked my fridge with tuna again and I began riding my bike again. I work nights and therefore will be riding my bike for an hour minimal upon coming home every morning. If the weather ever straightens out here to where I can ride to work, I will take the long way home in the mornings. I work in a distribution center and so I felt that exercise was not the issue, but evidently, it is. I need to ride again in order to get my metabolism moving again. I have lost 3 pounds since Friday. So am hopeful with this current mind set and a plan in place, follow through and I should be successful in keeping the scale going in the right direction. I was very close to goal when I lost my "vision" and am told this happens quite frequently. I pray that I am on the right track again and that everyone finds their "right track" soon. Have a great one!!

I am 3.5 years with the band and have had some issues lately, like two slips. With the unfills, I put weight on and am struggling to get the weight off once the fills start again. I am therefore, considering removal of the band and going with a sleeve plication. Has anyone out there had the plication done? This is different than a normal sleeve, as in they fold it over with no staples being put in and therefore NO foreign body would be in the body. It is a fairly new procedure. I can lose up to 30 more pounds and then would need to maintain but would really like to see this last little bit of weight come off. I am in an extremely physically demanding position at work and so lack of exercise is NOT the issue here.

My insurance covers the revision. I work nights and am so not looking forward to work tonight. If this does not send me into depression, I will be amazed. All of my hard work, down the fricking drain!!

Just found out today that my band has slipped for the second time. In one week, a decision will be made as to what to do. Revision, gastric bypass after band removal or sleeve after band removal. Not sure what the revision entails yet. Not happy to have come this far (more than 3 years) to have this happen. In fact, I am pretty heart broken right now. Any advice anyone?

To stop my hair loss, I began taking 2400 mg of fish oil daily and continue that to this day. My nails are very strong and my hair is long and beautiful. Good luck.

Just had another fill of 0.6 cc, back to 5.6 cc total. I was at 6.3 cc when I had a band slip back in February. So, with that being said, I am in the hopes that this fill begins the much needed restriction process and the scale starts back down. I have put on 12 pounds and do not feel good about it whatsoever. The physician was quite supportive today and so am feeling a bit better right now.

I have Cigna and I would suggest calling them directly to ensure that it is definitely excluded. Get the name of the person that you speak with, the date and time, wait a day and call them again and see if you get the same response, again write down the name, date and time. I had 6 months of very strict preop hoops to jump through but I think it was all worth it. I wish you the very best.

As most of you know, I have been struggling this whole year. I am 2.5 years out from surgery, had a "deflate" in February due to slippage, and have been working hard to get back on track. I was doing good: riding bike, walking, zumba, not gaining but not losing either. Had a fill scheduled for July 1 at noon. At 11 on July 1 the doctor's office called and cancelled due to an emergency. Reschedule: 3 weeks out, July 21st. Set me way the hell back. I just sat here and ate 3, yes 3, Krispy Kreme donuts. DO YOU THINK I NEED A FILL? Not sure I can keep this fight up. I am soooooooooooo depressed.

Since the beginning of this year, I have very slowly put 8 pounds on. A month (plus) ago, I began working out and I am at the point now with my workouts that I rode my bicycle yesterday for 16.5 miles, which is not a lot for some people but for me, it is quite the accomplishment. I have muscle mass in my legs and that part feels good. I walk on an average of 11,000 plus steps a day. I have cut out fast foods, fried foods, and am following the LB rules and NOTHING!! Absolutely no loss and my pants are feeling tighter and tighter. I am so disgusted and do not know what to do. Thanks for letting me vent.

I have had my BB for two weeks now. If anything, I have gained. My pants are tighter although the scale has not moved up or down. I know I am gaining muscle galore as I am walking and cycling like crazy (11,000 steps plus a day). I have a deficit of anywhere from 600 to 1300 a day but still no loss. I am highly frustrated, disappointed, to the point of crying, whatever you want to call it, just don't call it happy at this point. Sorry, just needed to vent. I am lost as to what to do next.

LOL. Like I am an expert, I am giving advice, hahahaha. I am only on my third day. We newbie's will get through this together.

I upload when I remove my BB, just before bedtime. I am not wearing mine at night obviously. You can also upload first thing in the morning, I just change the day to "yesterday" so it records on the right day.
