  1. Looking for someone to get out with in the Grand Rapids/ holland area. Someone for support, exercise, hang out with, cook healthy meals with!
  2. Had surgery on 4/15, last Tuesday. And I am still in quite a lot of pain. Is this normal? When did your pain go away and you were able to start regular activities again. It hurts for me to bend over, wash up by myself, take small walks outside, etc. are there any ways except pain meds to help get back to normal? It's been 6 days and I'm a little worried. This is also my first major surgery.

    Chicken broth?

Where can I find unjurys chicken soup protein powder? Do I have to order it online? Or can I get it from a store?

    Chicken broth?

It does say that I can have it but I thought I had remembered my dietician say that it was a last resort sort of thing and so I didn't want to have it frequently if it was something I shouldn't be having all the time.
  5. I am a few days post op. I'm trying to get in all 60 oz's of Fluid which is rough for me right now as my belly is still upset with gas pains and such. I'm always afraid to drink too much, so I've been sipping on Water and Protein shake all day. At the end of the day, I'll be lucky to get in 11oz of my 30g protein, Protein Shake and some water. Yesterday I had a small 1/2 cup of low sodium chicken broth. It says that it is ok to have on my list of liquids, but I'm wondering if this is not so much of a good choice. Any opinions or advice on daily post op diets? Thanks in advance!
  6. 2 days post op! And I'm feeling alright. The gas was and still is the biggest issue with me. But I'm hangin in there. I had a 2 hour drive home that wasn't the most comfortable yesterday either. Can't wait to recover and start to get some results. The only thing I'm afraid of is drinking water and protein shakes. I don't want to overdo it but I don't want to get dehydrated. Any tips?

Hey all!!! I'm getting my sleeve done in 2 days through dr Holman... Who is partnered with dr schramm. I'm from the holland area and was wondering if anyone else had their surgery with her? Or if you would like to connect and maybe be walking buddies when I feel up to it after recovery?
  9. Let me know how it goes!! Good luck how exciting!!
  10. Im new to this group. My mother told me to try it after hearing great things about it from a coworker. I'm having surgery in 2 days! I started my pre-op liquid diet this morning. I'm getting a little more nervous as the surgery approaches, mostly because I've never had a major surgery before. I'm sure everything will be fine though. I've done all the research and I know how a lot of people have felt after surgery, but I'm sure I will be in for a rude awakening afterward. Lol. But anyways, I just thought I would introduce myself and I can't wait for my journey to a healthier me to begin!!
