How is everyone doing??

Luna I'm sorry to hear, I too have been having huge buyers remorse! We just need to get through this horrible part! 6 months down the track we will probably laugh back at it, even though I was close to my death bed! If I had of ignored the infection any longer god knows what would have happened! Please anyone, if you don't feel right, please see your doctor just to get checked out! It's better to be safe than sorry! Never ever would I wish upon my worst enemy what I just went through! Thank you to everyone for your thoughts xxx

Well I've had a major set back! I've been in hospital for the last 5 days with an infection! No leak but at infection around my stomach area! I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days and found myself sleeping a lot!!!! My partner came home from work and found me in bed running a really high temp! I was rushed to hospital and have been here since! I am getting discharged today! They treated the infection by hitting me hard with IV antibiotics and I was nil by mouth for 5 days! They spoke about getting me back into surgery to clean out the infection but thank god I didn't have to go back under the knife!!! Major set back though, I'm now back on fluids for 2 weeks! just my luck

Does anyone have a garmin vivofit?? I bought one today even though it's not tracking much activity from me at the moment! lol but it sure will be come the next few weeks! Just wondering so maybe we can buddy up and track each other's progress etc! It also pairs up with my fitness pal!

Wow!!! This exact time last week I was being wheeled into theatre!! 1 week post op already! I get to drive again today (yay) and have my appointment at my nut soon! I should be able to start purée today I hope! will let you all know how I go! Oh my....I actually have to go and get out of my pj's today and get dressed!!! Lol

Wow!!!! Walking the dog already!! That's bloody awesome! I feel like a lazy butt now cause ive pretty much stayed in bed watching tv and lapping up everyone doing everything for me! I'm sick of the burping with every sip also, it's frustrating, and I'm hoping it's going to go soon!

I managed to have 60ml (2oz) of drinking yoghurt for breakfast today! And I had a hydralite ice block for morning tea which is 62mls! Going to try and get as much protein shake into me for lunch today, and I'm having cream of chicken soup for dinner! I've lost 9 kilos in total so far! Before my 2 week pre op diet I was 108, and I'm now 99!! I got down to 105 before surgery, so I've lost 6 kilos in the last 3-4 days which seems really dramatic!

I'm the same! Suffering real bad with gas pains still which is causing me not to get much fluid in at all! I've managed to get down about 50ml today but that's it!!

Well I'm on free fluids today! And they gave me custard first up! Have only managed to get down a teaspoon of it so far! Is anyone else struggling to get things down also?? I think I'm more scared than anything as I don't want to vomit!

Still getting a lot of pain though!!

I had horrific gas pains also, mainly stomach area! I've only just started fluids and have taking 7 hours now to drink about 60ml and eat a teaspoon of jelly!!

Well I'm on the sleeved side now!!!!! All went well! I've been in ICU now for the last 9 hours and it's the first time I've been awake for longer than 5 minutes and not in pain anymore! Really struggled with the gas pain! My stomach and incisions feel fine, infact I'm not sore at all....just the blooming dreadful gas pain! On morphine at the moment and feeling pretty good, propt up in bed watching tv! Can't wait for my surgeon to come tmr morning so I can have a drink!!! My mouth and throat are so dry!!! My surgeon doesn't allow anything for 24hrs afterwards!

Sitting in the hospital now with my sexy gown and stockings on! Surgery in 2 hours!!! Will let u all know how it goes!

10 hours to go till I'm at the hospital!!!!! Eeeekkkk!!! I don't have butterflies in my belly I have bloody elephants!!!!!!!! Good luck to everyone tmr!!! July the 1st is here!! Speak to you all soon! all the best!
