I am interested, but will have to wait on the prices. Deb -
I was banded at Dewitt on Ft Belivor, but now see Dr Rehrig at Walter Reed. I am 20 months out and down 97 LBs. He is very pleased. He did give me a referral for plastics, but Walter Reed is booked for 5 months. Tricare will try to find me some place, but the Dr told me not to hold much hope if I have to go cilivian. I am so dissappointed, but will continue anyway. Deb

Hi all I am a retired dependent and had my lap-band surgery 11/2006 at Ft Belvoir VA. Dr. Ryan and Dr. Carmondy did my band. They have both left the military now and I go to Walter Reed for my fills. Since I did not have to go civilian I had no trouble with Tricare…..but now I am looking to the tummy tuck which was suppose to be part of the whole package. Seems Tricare is very slow on approving this. Has any one checked in to this yet or had any issues with it? Thanks Deb

BTW does anyone have acid reflux. I have had it for the past month and not sure why. Since I haven't had a fill in over 8 months it can't be that. Deb -

So nice to see an over 50 group. I was banded 11/2006 down 91 lbs. Last 6 months has been very slow. I haven't had to have a fill since 11/2007. Thank you for the info on slider food. Seems that maybe my down fall. -
Hello all I was out there looking for support groups and came across this site. Thought I would join. I had Lap-Band surgery Nov 2006. I had a BMI of 47.6. I was fitted with a 10cc band. I am now down 70 lb. and a BMI 35.8. I am no longer morbid!:whoo:. My insurance would not cover the surgery, so I went through the military. My hubby is retired AF. We live in No Virginia and Walter Reed is the only military hospital that does the surgery in the US. I am not sure what I will do when we get ready to leave this area, but I am hoping that by then I am down to a reasonable weight. That is about it, just wanted to introduce myself. Deb
