50 year old, single male. Attempted to loose and maintain weight all my life. Chose to have bariatric surgery during my 2013 Christmas visit with my family. My mother was in the hospital with pneumonia and completely bed ridden due to her weight and related issues. She had completely given up and accepted she would never walk again. I had previously joked with my sister that I was becoming out mother due to my health issues. After seeing her at Christmas I made the decision to do anything possible for that not to be my reality. so, here I am 11 days post op. I am excited about my future but apprehensive post op. I started at 331 and my goal is 200.
