Ok I am soooo confused, when is RR? I hope I can make it, whenever it is!!! I am getting used to having a fill, it is weird, sometimes it feels like I dont have any restriction and others it seems tight. I hope when it settles in I will have a better idea of what I can eat without feeling like it is getting stuck. Am I the only one who cant always feel the food pausing at the band? Maybe I just haven't figured out what it really feels like.

Yes being a nurse is a blast, no really, I love what I do. I always work weekends so I can work my other job and go to school. One of these days I will be done with school (hopefully)

Saturdays are bad for me work all day, but if you guys go in the evening I could make it after 7:00.

I actually got my band in TJ, Dr Kirshenbaum is just doing my fills for me. I wish I could have afforded to stay here and have him do the band, but TJ was fine, no problems, so I guess that was the way it was meant to be.

I had my first fill today :whoo:Dr Kirshenbaum was geat!! He had never worked with my type of band (heliogast) so he filled till I was totally restricted then backed off some. I have 4cc in my 7cc band. I unfortunately gave into my husband and tried a salmon patty and got to have my first PB. Gross but not really that painful. :embarassed: Oh well hopefully I will resist giving in to him again and only eat what I think I can handle. Looking forward to meeting you all at RR (whenever that may be) :clap2:

I am 1 month out and woke up with this pain this morning. Based on the location it feels like my band is pushing on my diaphragm, and it is more painful when I beathe deeply. I have not noticed it getting worse when I eat. I felt the same kind of pain right after surgery when I was full of gas. I hope this goes away soon, as it really is uncomfortable.

want2bemeagain, sorry to say that was so damn funny!!! :clap2: I know that it was miserable for you while it happened but you explained it so well that I could picture you on the can pants down hugging the waste basket and could not help laughing. I too hope that I never have that particular pleasure but if I do I hope I can take it as well as you did. The meat tenderizer story was great too!! My doctor told me about meat tenderizer also, have not had to try it yet as I don't have restriction yet. NM Sunshine: I had my band done in TJ also and Dr Kirshenbaum agreed to do my fills, $200 for the first visit and $150 there after. Turns out he did my mothers stomach stapling years ago and she was pleased with him. I am glad that he is right here in town for me.

<p>I see that a group of you are in the denver/ aurora area and seem to get together occasionally, may I join you next time? I was banded in TJ on Septmeber 24th, 2007. I am scheduled for my first fill with Dr. Kirshenbaum on Nov 1st.</p>

DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE!! They lied to me stating that they would finance $ 2,000 of my surgery and when I gave them a deposit told me the sales man was new and had been wrong. They then proceeded to refund only a portion of my deposit, they kept $500 even though the reason I canceled was them lying to me and I did not sign any disclosures stating that $500 was non-refundable. I plan to take them to small claims court, but this is a long, relatively expensive procedure and no guarentee of winning. Anyway, just wanted to warn everyone to stay away from these liars and theives!!!!

I too was banded on the 24th, I dream of meat any kind, fish, chicken, ground beef. I have started on mashed potatoes, they help but are not as satisfying as they were the first day. Cant wait til soft foods are allowed. I just keep telling myself that since I lived on yogurt and water for a week pre-op I can do anything!!

You siad you are having surgery on Monday in Mexico where and by whom? I am scheduled for Monday in TJ by Dr Alessandrini

I am scheduled for september 24th and looking for someone scheduled within a day or twoof that date to compare notes with.
