actually it's more like 50 if you must ask and the way it shows on the ticker is not correct my BMI was closer to the mid 30's.. yes it was a close call and they made sure I wanted to move forward but I have had trouble with weight my entire life being 5"0 tall it's been a struggle.

another comment to stretching stomach. I have felt the same thing but I don't feel like I have stretched it. I thought about it here and there but I really don't think it. Not sure how we could tell regardless. your feeling this even 6 weeks longer than me though which in 6 more weeks heck I feel I could eat a meal LOL. it's odd but I can't see to find a food probably I cant eat it's more now that I don't want to eat at the moment. My taste buds have changed though somewhat. I do have issues getting my liquids in

Dont' feel bad I'm on my 6th week and I can get food down. chicken breast, even 3 small bites of cheese enchillidas - I am having no issues what's so ever and again only 6 weeks out. now I get full fast and I'm taking small bites but no issues, not sick to my stomach or anything and I make sure to not overeat and I'm still dropping weight

When do you like food again
Neiko replied to LaurieC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I actually have been enjoying food beginning of my 6th week. not eating that much of it but some. Even small bites ( I mean tiny bites of tortilla chips) with guac. / salsa. I had 3 bites of an enchiilda. But this is last week of soft foods for me as my surg. was April 21st. I have been fine.. no stomach pains no over eatting. all is been good. -
Well beginning of my 4th week I felt better so rode my bike lightly. 3 miles then following day went to gym and got on spin bike gentle foe 5 miles not a good idea. It's been 3 days and I feel like 3 days after surgery. I know I asked you all and so I'm definitely going to give it some more time

the topic of sex after surgery
Neiko replied to Neiko's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ha! That's perfect thanks for the feedback !! -
when has been the time you are getting back to normal w/ sex - Doctor has told me 3 to 4 weeks..
-
I like to ride (outside) amateur cyclist and know I cannot do that for a while but thought maybe I could try and get up on a spin bike and just like you mentioned start out extremely slow but just wasn't sure if I should wait for a few more weeks and keep walking. your up to level 6 .. are you still going ? or did you go back to walking for a while my doctor also told me 3 to 4 weeks before having sex LOL - I have been good and have been listening to him on that.. I'm sure that's the norm :)
-
I'm glad you all said 6 months - a friend told me 3 months - so 6 months it will be.. I'm thinking of it like being pregnant you can't drink for 9 months. makes it seem similar not that I have experienced that. I agree with the others - not worth it.
-
how soon have any of you really began to exercise. I know we all are walking in our early stages ( i'm about to end my 3rd week) and still walking but when are you all predicting to start going to a spin class or something of that nature. My doctor told me 12 weeks, my question is that what you were all told from your doctors ?
-
Yes alterations is a smart move at the beginning. Hope that helps and/or start shopping at resale shops

I had mine April 21 I'm down 16 pounds. Slower than I would like but my doctor told me to not weight every day he actually yell at me for doing that. I walked 2 miles on the treadmill the last Sunday for the 1st day and it's also the 1st day I was up .4 pd vs being down but my % of fat went down

Very helpful thank u I will let u know for sure

I agree - I'm at the beginning of my 3rd week and I feel I have wine as my blood but I'm holding out - I am on full liq's and have been fine. make sure to get your Protein in and yes yes flavored watered, vit. Water zero, Propel, Powerade zero. I even had some baby food stage 1 it was ok... I did have extreme creamy creamy mashed potatoes the other day ( my doct told me I could egg's and stuff like that this week) but I actually didn't like the egg's - I ate a little of the potatoes.. like everyone said it's as much mental. just look at it like a short time couple of months diet this is short term for your long term plan. short term sacrifice - it will be well worth it if you can hang on..
