What are dole dippers? Are they in the frozen section?

I seem to have NO restriction. My surgery was 10/22/14. While I do pretty well at getting liquids & Protein and don't usually go over 800 calories. I feel like I could eat a whole hamburger with absolutely no problem! I'm dreaming of coconut cream pie and think I could probably eat it. At Christmas I ate one piece of fudge a day for three days with NO problems. Haven't had anything terribly fatty yet.

When drinking protein shakes...
brown eyed gal replied to MamaTo3inNH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a little over 3 months out and have been not been waiting in between drinking my Protein shakes and Water, etc. I was at a support group the other night and the nutritionist said to wait 30 minutes before and after! Bummed me out. Wish I would have known this going in!! -
I like seeing what people have ate for the day. I notice you do not each much at all. Are you restricted to 1/4 C at your meals? My nutritionist wants me to have 1/4 C at meals but I have to admit I struggle only eating 1/4 C! I don't seem to have much of a restriction and can easily eat 1/2 C. I know just because I can doesn't mean I should!

Stalled and depressed

Ok, I am 14 weeks out and have only lost 26 pounds, so remember there are people that have lost more and people that have lost less than you. Hopefully this will make you feel better. I'm exercising and getting all my Protein so i don't know what my deal is! -
Have any of you October gals tried salad yet (lettuce). I have not encountered one problem with anything I've tried but haven't tried lettuce yet because I've seen where people have had problems. Side note OMG, I'm missing bread! And I miss drinking milk with my "sweets" (protein bar).

10 weeks out and no problems?
brown eyed gal posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Other than being a slow loser, I average 2 # a week. I seem to have no issues eating anything. Now I don't eat too much but at Christmas I ate fudge once a day for 3 days. No problem. Yesterday I ate two Cookies & milk. No dumping but I did feel uncomforbably full. Don't plan on keeping this up. The fudge was in my house of 7 days before I ever even ate one piece. So evidently for now, I don't dump on sweet things. I also stop at a reasonable serving but feel like I could eat like a normal person. I've ate turkey chili, beef chili, ham, bacon, pork roast. Only thing I haven't tried (which I love is steak). I can drink like a normal person, I don't have to sip. I'm just curious if anyone else is like me? I realize just because I can eat it does not mean I should eat it. I will also admit for the first 3 weeks after surgery I had buyers remorse. I just feel like I'm in the minority. I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse! I had started exercisig but slacked off over the holidays, I plan to get back on track as of today. I had very good pre surgery support and decent support now except for nutritionist. She is almost impossible to get an appointment with. -

10 weeks out and no problems?
brown eyed gal replied to brown eyed gal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was 10/22/14. So now I'm at almost 12 weeks. I ate 3 oz of T bone today, with no problem what so ever! I ate some tostitoe type chips yesterday with rotel, no problem... -

Ok friends, I'm at week 11 and have only lost 23 pounds. It's extremely difficult to get into the nutritionist at our program. I was supposed to have a 3 month check up with her but it will be February before I can get in to see her. I eat anywhere from 600-900 calories a day. I always get my protein, (mostly from drinks) and I get my water. I'm doing 30 minutes of cardio at least 2 days a week and I do a 30 minute routine of free weights 2/3 times a week. Any guesses as to what I'm doing wrong. I do not eat carbs hardly at all. I don't have any issues swallowing and no food has seemed to bother me so far, I've tried everything but steak and fried stuff. Over Christmas I did eat a few pieces of fudge and a few cookies (no dumping) but after Christmas I haven't eaten any sweets.

Our Christmas celebrations are over. I didn't eat a lot of food but I did eat a bigger variety of foods and haven't had any "issues". I even ate 3 pieces of fudge. One a day, not all in one day. Only thing it did to me was make my head spin a little. I don't want to celebrate to soon and say I don't dump but I haven't experienced it yet. Although I have heard many say that they thank God that they do dump because it keeps them accountable.

I also ate fudge and it just made me light headed. I ate small amounts of hawaiian bread and had no issues. I ate ham yesterday and it was fine. I had red that ham was one of the later meats you should try along with beef at six months. Plesantly surprised. I didn't eat much but I did sample everything, we just had Snacks.

Well I just ate a tablespoon of fudge while making it. It's been 30 minutes and I'm really light headed but don't feel sick. I know it could hit me later. I'm holding off judgement until after 3 hours though! I did not make divinity because I would not be able to stay out of that. At the end of our Christmas celebration, if any fudge is left, I'm sending i home with someone. My husband bought a store bought pumpkin pie and is cooking it, the smell is making me nauseous. Dang it, I can edit and say sorry for double posting but I can't delete....

I'm 8 1/2 weeks out. My Nut has instructed to make my 4 oz meal last 30 minutes. If I don't over eat, and it doesn't hurt to eat fast, what is the purpose of eating slow. I read that it makes you stay fuller longer but that doesn't matter to me because I just eat when I'm supposed to and I stay within my range of where I'm supposed to be.

Why Do So Few BP Members Have Weight Tickers?

I wish it was sinplier to change your weight on the ticker. I like to keep it up but you have to go through so many "next's", it gets old! -
What is the purpose of eating slow
brown eyed gal replied to brown eyed gal's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Thanks to all of you. I can eat fast with no problem, which may be a problem. I'm going to make a real effort to s l o w down. -
Have any of you October people tried sugar and dumped? I haven't even tempted it but I will be making fudge for family next week, just wondering about one liiiitttlee piece.
