  1. I did that a couple times early out, too. Isn't it funny how we just mindlessly used to eat? Just out of habit, I would pop something in my mouth while on the phone like you were or just even seeing something on the kitchen counter. Old habits die hard!
  2. I gave up all that stuff mostly while I was losing, then started incorporating them back into my diet in the form of whole grains when I was close to goal (about 75% of my excess weight lost). I only try to eat the brown stuff (bread, rice, etc...) and stay away from the less healthy white crap. It's still is very limited for me, because I do have cravings for more bread and sugar if I over do it.
  3. The people that gain weight back are USUALLY the "little of this, little of that" mindset. Healthy Protein, fruits, veggies, low sugar and carb is the way to go. At a year out, I am finding I can eat MUCH more than I could early out. Pop quiz. Now that I can eat more quantity, what makes more sense to put on my plate? More carbs that turn into sugar or more protein, veggies, fruits and nuts? The answer is simple.

When did people notice your weight loss?

You're not going to believe this, but 70 pounds. Before that, people would look at me like something was different, but would never say anything. It seems at 70 pounds EVERYBODY noticed! It's really crazy to me it took that much weight for people to notice.
  5. Yup, what @@rickm said. Completely normal, happens to everyone. Your body just needs to adjust.
  6. I'll have what you're having!

Middle of the Night Worries/2nd Thoughts

I hope you are getting better. That's really a bummer about you being sick. Like Dub said, you're sick, you're tired, and I'm sure just done with it all. I had foot surgery just 3 weeks before my sleeve. I was NOT looking forward to another surgery. But I was also excited to get on with it. Look at the big picture. The surgery and the couple months after are a pain in the butt, but relatively speaking such a small blip on the radar in the grand scheme of things. Believe me, a year from now, this will all be a distant memory and you will be loving your new life!
  8. I have a high tolerance for pain. 2 large babies completely natural, a few surgeries... no biggie. I was quite taken aback when I woke up from the sleeve surgery with this horrible PAIN on my right side! I couldn't get that pain medication fast enough!
  9. If I don't feel like going to the gym, I tell myself to go for just 20 minutes, then I'll leave. I ALWAYS end up staying for 40 minutes to an hour instead, and then feel great about it!
  10. One word. Constipation. That is all.

    Kept my head straight

Congrats! Amazing accomplishment! You're living proof that weight loss is actually 90% diet and not excersise. But we like to excerise, darn it!

Star Jones weight gain (80 lbs)

She had surgery like friggen 12 or 13 years ago. I think she's done quite well maintaining her weight for that long. Hell, I've seen people gain it all back in less than 2 years.
  13. I thought I wanted to go down a little more, but frankly, I'm tired of buying new clothes! Well, I'm not tired as much as my credit cards are.... That's after I tried on a couple things I just bought like 5 weeks ago and they were almost too big! I know, I know. First world problems.

    Mmmhhhhh....

I said it before and I'll say it again.... You just had MAJOR SURGERY. Don't be a hero. It takes time to recuperate. And on top of it with this particular surgery we are barely eating. Those 2 things= fatigue and an overall feeling of yuckiness. I didn't feel human until about 5 weeks out.

    Extramarital temptations...

@@OKCPirate I get what you are saying. I really do. But destroying the trust of someone by "quietly cheating" is never okay. And besides, women know. They may be in denial about it, but in hindsight, they always knew. Nothing "quiet" about it.

    Extramarital temptations...

This isn't a "morals" question. If your SO is able to look the other way without having any reservations about what's going on, so be it. Consenting adults and such. Just don't be surprised when the situation turns ugly and complicated. I've seen very few of these "arrangements" where both parties are actually open enough to not let those pesky "feelings" get in the way. As long as you both understand the consequences of your actions, by all means, carry on.
  17. Yeah, it's normal while you're on liquids. They kind of funnel right through your sleeve. Once you start solid food, you'll feel it!

@@Ruby Woo You're beautiful and sassy! I can't imagine how you're going to be after you rock that sleeve! Look out world!
  19. I have 2 words. State fair. I went a few weeks ago, and talk about a test! The corn dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy, churros....man oh man it was tough! I thought the smell alone was going to kill me! But I persevered and ate my chicken kabob happily. And I MAY have had a glass of wine

My Husband, My Rock, My Support

Awwww that's so sweet. I'm glad you have such a supportive guy! Make sure he knows how much you appreciate him
  21. Okay, then don't be stuck up and shallow? You've transformed your outside considerably. You are gorgeous. But when I see someone with a shitty personality in a gorgeous package, it automatically makes me look at them as ugly. Make your inside just as pretty as your outside. Beauty fades, but an awesome person who treats others with respect and dignity is forever
  22. @@BLERDgirl I'm not big on the whole pumpkin thing either, but I may have to try that!

    What Is Your Latest NSV?

Finally being able to wear a pair of boots that fit over my calves! Oh, and size 6 skinny jeans
  24. Ah, yes. This is a tough one. I am also 2 pounds below goal, but I'm doing it on purpose to give myself a buffer of 5 or so pounds. I know a few on here that really had a hard time trying to figure out how to stop losing. I think it was just adding a couple hundred calories to their diet until they honed in on what worked to stay the same weight more or less. I think this would be a very important time to start tracking if you haven't been already to figure out your calories and figure out all your macros. I've been in weight loss mode for so long (almost 13 months), it's going to be hard for me to get out of it, too! I'll figure it out, and so will you. I think you should schedule an appointment with your NUT to help you out!
