  1. Just a note: If you add your comment about the OP's subject without checking what the #1 song was the day you were born and posting it, I will be sad. That is all.
  2. Sometimes people forget you can "just keep scrolling." AMEN!
  3. I love Tony Bennett so.....
  4. @@4MRB4PHOTO What's yours?? http://www.birthdayjams.com/
  5. Fun fact: Respect by Aretha Franklin was the #1 song on the day I was born. Yes, I'm old.
  6. @@gpmed Worry more about 'balance' once you get closer to goal and maintenence. Protein is important for healing, (Yes, at 5 months you're still healing), building muscle that will be naturally lost during the weight loss process, and takes more work to digest, thus burning more calories. You're doing just fine otherwise
  7. Are you following your plan 90% of the time? Have you lost weight and are continuing lose weight at a fairly steady pace aside from some normal stalls every once in a while? Are you trying to move your body more than you did before? Are you making sure you're well hydrated at all times? If you answered "yes" to these questions then congratulations, you're doing enough

    This Week I Failed

Okay then. Then you hold onto that shame and guilt everytime you feel like you've failed. Obviously it's working for you. Some people LOVE being martyrs.

    This Week I Failed

Yeah, and they are saying you had a rough week, too. Acknowledge it, know that there will be more, and MOVE ON. Shame and guilt serve no purpose when we do it to ourselves. It just keeps you in the victim mentality. Yeah, shame is a normal emotion, but is it a HEALTHY emotion? I do know this from my years of therapy: It's a SECONDARY emotion that stems from fear or sadness. You're afraid of failure, and that's understandable and normal early out, but try not to let it encompass you. Living in a shame spiral is unhealthy for anybody. You're doing great. Now go and keep doing great without too much guilt or shame.

This was perfectly said! I wanna pin it to my fridge!

    Fear of not waking up!

Not to fear monger, but most complications and death occur AFTER the surgery, not while you're under. I know that probably didn't make you feel any better....lol.
  12. How old are you and why are you still living at home? I have a 26 year old son with mild Asbergers, is obese and suffers from depression and he hasn't lived at home since he's been 18 and worked the same job for 8 years. He has also made some stupid mistakes, but that's all part of learning and growing as a young adult. As long as you're living with your dad, I'm afraid you're stuck in that parent/child mode. Work on trying to become more independent. You're not going to change the dynamic otherwise.

    I'm sick of it

It comes and goes with me. At 18 months out now, I love the fact that I can't eat that much compared to others. It keeps me honest. On the other hand, there's days where I'm happily eating away, enjoying my food, and BAM, I've hit a wall and can't possibly have another bite and I'm like "I'm full ALREADY??" It can be quite annoying, lol.

    Mediterranean Style Eating

I've heard the same thing about marathoners Crossfitters. FTFA! You're welcome. Yeah, lol. There's one that says: If you meet a vegan who does Crossfit, which one will they talk about first?

    Mediterranean Style Eating

This calls for a joke to lighten the mood: How do you know someone is vegan? Don't worry, they'll f*cking tell you.
  17. Totally normal. Most of us (except a few die hards who KNEW they were doing the right thing) went through the back and forth of "should I or shouldn't I?" I was kind of a die hard, but still did what you're doing with the doubts. At 18 months out, I assure you I have no regrets whatsoever. I didn't have a lot to lose (relatively) either. But it was effecting my health, my lifestyle, and my psychological state. I knew I had lost and gained so many times before, this was the reset I needed to change my life once and for all. And it did. I go out to eat and enjoy food. I go to parties, the movies, camping, cook for my family, etc. My life is totally normal with one exception.... I am now not a slave to food and my weight. As the legendary ad for Nike says, JUST DO IT. You won't regret it! Look at the picture I've attached. Do I LOOK like I regret this??
  18. This was your FIRST moment of weakness? I'd say after 16 months, congratulations! You ARE human!
  19. 5'5" and started at 235. Hit goal of 150 in a little over a year, lost 9 more after a few more months, and have been maintaining for about 4 months now. One of the best decisions I've ever made
  20. Huh. My husband has loved me through thin, fat, thin again, fat again and finally thin again. No matter what I looked like, he still couldn't keep his hands off of me. Maybe that's why we've been together for almost 30 years. He just loves me for...me. I guess I'm lucky.

Because they love Chinese made crap and terrible service?

    Shiann Friesen

Yeah, just another vigilante vlogger looking for sympathy because someone "discriminated" against her. She had said herself this woman working the fitting room was being a compete b*tch from the get go. Talk to the manager, have the employee either fired or disciplined, and let it go. I, too call shenanigans on the validity of the video. She was deliberately baiting to try to get something on camera to vlog about.
