Old Timers-What is the point of WLS if many regain/have hunger/diet drama..
Babbs replied to Anna Nim's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@shriner37 Dr Weiner is awesome! I've seen all his videos on YouTube. -
Oh, stop it. That study was done on people who had not had WLS. I've seen another study showing that those of us who have had WLS are at an advantage as far as keeping the weight off and improved metabolism. You're going to throw in the towel over the possibility of you not succeeding? Ridiculous. Pull your big girl panties up and do what you need to do to succeed.

Those who drink diet pop post-op {Only nice comments PLEASE}
Babbs replied to Beck90's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Cancer stick? Judgmental much? Smoking won't keep the weight off. Hateful people like you are why I rarely visit these forums. You're clueless.I'm clueless about what? That there's a correlation between smoking and cancer? Are you going to deny that, or are you just being obtuse? And the good Dr Weiner did say that people who smoke do keep their weight off better than those who don't. Look it up. Oh, and I smoked for 25 years and quit to have the surgery. I'm now over 2 years smoke free. I'm not an anti smoking Nazi by any means, but I'm also not a hypocrite. -
Just came in to say I read the topic as "Crap Machine" at first. Carry on.

None of that here, Missy. How dare you advocate for personal responsibility! Now I'm triggered.

I never smoked a day in my life. Clearly you have me confused with someone else! Tagged the wrong person. I meant to tag the one expounding on the dangers of diet soda but smokes and eats cake. -

@@ladyinsouth Are you for real? You're preaching to everyone the danger of diet soda and you smoke? Your argument is invalid. I'd keep my weight off for 4 years too if I could smoke a cancer stick everytime I felt like eating instead. -

@@ladyinsouth Yes, because I'm sure the ginger ale your friend is consuming is the only reason your friend hasn't "lost her weight". *Rolls eyes* -
I would seriously pay to see that.....

My 600 Pound Life: 2016 Season
Babbs replied to Inner Surfer Girl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Did you guys notice that Dr Now had said to Marla at one point when he was scolding her "I preformed a very aggressive bypass on you, so you're going to lose weight no matter what. But if you don't start walking, you'll gain it all back" I was curious what "A very aggressive bypass" was? Did he make the pouch smaller? Or actually perform a DS? -
I THINK I MAY HAVE FOUND A HEALTHY SWEET SNACK

I'd eat the whole box in a matter of days, lol. -
I actually like Trevor Noah. Sure he's no Jon Stewart, but I think he's doing a pretty good job. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

How DARE you sir! Next you're going to tell me that vegimite is good.

Woo Hoo!! Well deserved my friend, well deserved! You are one of the hardest workers with this weight loss thing and a HUGE inspiration to me. Plus, you look hot. -
@@Sajijoma With all due respect, I find that most NUT's have no idea what they are talking about.

When can I get out and go somewhere!
Babbs replied to scampbell33's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah, I don't understand why you haven't left the house for 8 days? Do you have mobility issues? If not, there should be no problem with you going out and doing stuff. There really shouldn't have been from day one. You need to be active and walking to help promote healing. Now get out of the house and go do something fun for yourself. Take a nice walk and get some sunshine too -
@@VSGAnn2014 I think you'll appreciate this!

No, I do not believe 30 points is doable at 3 months out. MAYBE after a year. Maybe.

I saw that episode. It was spot on!

@@DrCollins Wow. I don't know if I'm more impressed that you've kept your weight off for so many years or the fact that you know EXACTLY what you need to do to keep the weight off. You're my bariatric hero!

6 Months Post Op. Can Eat Whole Sandwich?

6 Months Post Op. Can Eat Whole Sandwich?
Babbs replied to Billysbelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@ Dude. Just stop. You're making yourself look really foolish. People can naturally eat more the further out they get due to some hormonal changes and some loosening of the sleeve. It may stretch a bit, but it certainly doesn't "grow". Stop using that word. And by the way, some of the people you are arguing with are very successful WLS patients who know what they are talking about. So just staaaap. -
Gaining Weight after one year post sleeve! PLEASE HELP!

Good article about sleeve stretching. http://www.foodcoach.me/2015/11/25/fact-or-crap-you-can-stretch-your-post-op-pouch/ -
I always have to laugh when I see newbies say "I eat XX and I'm still losing weight!" You can eat Twinkies and wash them down with milkshakes the first 6 months to a year and still lose weight.....

I have the double whammy. My husband had RNY 10 years ago and I had the sleeve almost 2 years ago. We just celebrated our 27th anniversary last month
