I couldn't wait to get out of a regular work environment for those exact reasons. That's why I decided to become a Realtor and basically work for myself. Although you still run into it with other realtors, lenders, title companies etc.... I really hate to be "that guy", but I truly think the work ethic over the last 20 years or so has really declined. It's a generational thing.

Okay, I'm calling it 161. I've been bouncing up and down a pound all week, but this is what it read this morning, so I'll use it!!

@@jaterika Take care. I hope you get the support and love you need to make the best decision possible.

@ You make a personal attack on me about the way my parents raised me, and then call ME a bully? Gotcha. It's too bad you don't have the same amount of compassion for people already born and living on this earth as you do for the unborn. But that's typical of your kind.

Your "opinion" doesn't matter. Nobody cares. She needs support. Whatever she decides to do. But thanks for playing.

@ Your judgement makes me sick. Guess what? It's none of your damn business what she decides to do. It's ultimately her and the father's decision. Not mine. Not yours. She needs support right now. Not self righteous judgement.

A couple weeks ago I tried on a size 8 shorts and cried in the dressing room when they fit. It's been at least 10 years since I could wear a size 8. I love looking at medium shirts and dresses and thinking "I can wear that!" Makes all the hard work so worth it!

Weird/worst Comment at Pre-op testing!
Babbs replied to Bndtoslv's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yeah, I can't even remember which pre op thing it was I was doing, but yes, she looked at me in disbelief and said "Well, I think you look great! I can't believe you're big enough to have that surgery!" I told her my BMI, high blood pressure and diabetes disagreed. And OF COURSE she was obese. Go figure. -
Gained most of my weight back
Babbs replied to frumpy69's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@globetrotter I'm fairly new to this whole WLS thing, and am knocking on the door of maintenance. I'm almost there. But after being on this site for 15 months and reading posts almost daily, I completely and utterly agree with you. I honestly believe this surgery f**ks up our already messed up metabolisms. How else do you explain people who are eating only 800-1000 calories stalling out and even gaining weight when they choose to partake in a couple of measly carbs or sweets. (Oh no! I ate TWELVE HUNDRED calories today!!) 1200 calories for a "normal" person is below even what's recommended to LOSE weight. Why do you think we see so many struggle with maintenance once their initial maintenance honeymoon period (yes I think there is a honeymoon period for maintenance, too) is over? It's an ugly truth that I don't think people who haven't been there yet want to admit. And I said it before in a thread I started not too long ago. Forget about the semantics of the word, you will be on a diet the rest of your life if you want to maintain a normal, healthy weight. I thank you for your refreshing honesty. -
If you want to fly, you'll fly. You already know it's not going to be easy. But nothing worth it ever is, is it? When is your revision?

What about the boobies!?
Babbs replied to Sleevie.Nicks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine have shrunk quite a bit, but I'm still large chested (Boooo). I went from a 42DD to a 38D right now, but those are feeling a little loose lately. I think I'll get down to a 36D when I get to goal, which is about 11 or 12 pounds away, but who knows? Maybe I won't lose much more of the girls, which I'm sure would be just fine with my husband -
Talk Clothes and Style to Me!
Babbs replied to Beachsprite's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Luckily for me, I had about 3 different sizes in my closet from my years of many, many weight loss/gain phases, so I could shop in my own closet for a while. It's been a couple of months now that I've undergrown those clothes (YAY). I do a lot of consignment and clearance rack shopping. Target, Penny's and even Macy's have excellent clearances! I'm only about 12 or so pounds from goal now, so I anticipate going down maybe one more size. We will see. If I do, then it's a shopping I will go! -
How did you get past the liquid stage? Feeling hopeless
Babbs replied to cuchas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@cuchas No berries! The little seeds can get stuck in your staples in your stomach and cause a leak. Please don't do anything off plan without consulting your surgeon first. -
Just your body adjusting. No worries. There is no physical way you can gain 5 pounds from Jello

I am I am as weak as a little girl, but I need to start exercising I

Since it's summer....swimming! You get cardio AND resistance all in one! And it's fun! -
I've NEVER watched my fat content. Just sayin'.

At first, weekly. I was one of those people who would let what the scale read either make or completely ruin my day. As months went by and I got used to the patterns and fluctuations, I now weigh daily. I find it helps me be more accountable at this point. And if it doesn't move for a while, I know I need to change things up to get things moving.
-
Looks great to me! Keep in mind, with your exercise, you need to eat a little more. Just make sure the little more is protien. Good job!

I had a horrific stall at around 6 months for 6 weeks. And yup, it's time to shake things up to see if you can break it. Sometimes you just have to ride it out. If you aren't exercising, it's time to start. If you are, time to increase your cardio. Just add an extra day or a few more minutes to each workout (or walk, or swim, or bike ride, or whatever). Believe it or not, increasing your calories a little may help, too. If you're doing 800, increase them to 900. Also if you aren't tracking your Protein and calories, start. It really helps keeping you accountable for the little extras we may be sneaking into our diets without even realizing it. And as always, drink until you pee every 20 minutes Hope that helps! Good luck!
