I was sleeved on June 30th. Monday I experienced my first kidney stone. That was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Not sure how I got one, but I have read that you are more likely to get them after this type of surgery. Probably with change in diet, and not drinking enough water. So please make sure you drink plenty of water so this does not happen to you. Please let me know if anyone has had or can explain why I got one.

I am experiencing the same thing. Had sleeve surgery the 30th. It is because our stomach is still swollen. Just sip slow. Will get better everyday.

Steph, glad your doing good. I'm too sore. I just keep taking my pain meds, walk around the house. I'm sipping on 4 oz protein shake. It takes a while. Our stomach is still swollen. Was told it gets better everyday. Just drink slow. Are you taking lovenox injections? This helps from getting blood clots.

Sitting up in a chair. Earlier I had my first bowel movement. The suppository the nurse put in last night did the trick. So that said, they said I would be able to go home later today. Still real sore. Stomach muscle. Can't wait for that to subside. Hope everybody is doing well.

Wow. They let u go home early. I'm still in the hospital. They said I would stay another night. To make sure everything is good. So far all is good. Doing my blue ice check again this morning. No leaks!!! Hope you are going good.

I made it through surgery just fine;)) was not nauseous. No gas pain. Was in some pain right after, but I'm on good pain meds and morphine button. No sign of leakage. Did the blue ice chips. They will have me do it again in the morning. I did get up and walked the halls before i came back to bed for the night. So all in all not bad at all. I will keep everybody posted. I hope all other 30th sleevers are doing good.

How is everybody doing? We have 1 more day:))) I have to be there at noon on Monday for surgery. Wish it was in the morning.

Have a question on what over the counter pain meds I can take while I'm on pre-op diet. I know I cannot take aspirin. What about Aleve? -

My surgery is on the 30th June. I am on day 2 of pre-op diet. Doing everything my doctor said. I read it gets easier after day 4. Good luck to everybody. WE CAN DO THIS!!! -

I received my approval from BCBS last Thursday. I have my 10-day pre-op diet class/ EKG, chest x-ray and labs next Tuesday morning. Surgery is 30th June!!! Excited and nervous at the same time.
