Are You so relieved surgery is over?! I know I am. Food restrictions not really. The other day I was eating edamame and chewed it really really well. Only ate about 6 pods for 12 beans total. My tummy felt a bit weird. Other than that, no issues. I too worry about eating too much to get back. I am doing well eating, probably around your same caloric Intake. I just have to get moving more, desk job keeps me sitting all day. This am I was down 19 lbs . I am still eating really soft and no meat at all. I lick peanut butter off a spoon That is as wild as I get ! Please let me know how your drs appt goes. Would love to hear. -

I have personally fought insurance company before and won after 3 denials ! Don't give up and don't take no for an answer. Take matters in your own hands...build your bullet proof case and appeal . 9/10 it will get approved I was told and am living proof good luck -

Mine was 3/26. I am not eating very much yet. Bypass for you? I am scared to eat, afraid to hurt Have not yet but a constant fear daily food, 2 homemade smoothies. Then dinner. Cooked veggies (very small amount ) and cottage cheese OR smashed beans Would love to know the type of surgery you had and any thoughts thanks ! -

I am 2 weeks post op. I cry just about every night. My surgery and recovery both went/are fine. It definitely is a roller coaster. I am so sorry to hear this. I hope it gets better soon for you. I am looking forward to my first support group this week. I think that will help me, maybe you can find a local one to attend. Keep the faith, again 2 weeks today for me , so still very new here too.

Things you thought you'd miss but you don't?
Happymom8992 replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I find myself still cooking like crazy for the family. I have always gotten great joy. I would say taste testing is what I miss. It's hard to judge the dish without tasting it but baggy pants I put on , make it worth it ! -

Are you open or private about surgery and why?
Happymom8992 replied to acscholz's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I told my husband and my 3 adult children. I did not tell my parents as I knew my mother would be very opinionated. I also knew that would open up a huge risk if extended family members knowing. It is hard. At the same surgery I also had a hernia repaired so 2 weeks post op, I tell them I am still recovering from this hernia repair. Actually since my dad is also stage 4 lung cancer , I did not even tell them I was going in at all for anything initially. Only when I came home did they fi doubt I had been in the hospital. One of my daughters, who is 23, senior in college, asked me if this was not a little too drastic. The easy way out ?! So, I shut down on talking at all to her about this anymore. I need support and not opinions and judgements !
