    Not eating enough

As long as you are hydrated, it will be fine. I am now 10 months out, and have to be diligent about NOT overeating. Enjoy this time , and keep loosing. There is definitely a "honeymoon period", then you will be battling the same demons as you did in the "old days". Good luck
  3. When out for a walk, or I run into folks I know, but haven't seen recently, I get asked how I am loosing weight. I have been honest, and tell them that I had a gastric bypass, to help me get healthy. Do most folks open up like that, or are you more guarded with your answers?

    Is it an illusion?

i had a few people say to me later, that they didnt say anything, in case i was ill, or had some disease!!!
  5. congrats on the pregnancy! I cant believe its been over 8 months since my wls. I havent lost any weight in the last month and a half. I would like to loose 30 more pounds, but my hunger levels have returned, and im stuggling to keep from gaining. I feel much better, but have to accept the fact, that i must be diligent to stay on top of this!

Tale of a bariatric diet goody-two-shoes...

Hi Amy, Same town and Doc. I'm over six months out, and already have to be careful not to over snack! The only thing that bothers me are fried foods. My weight hasn't budged in a month and a half. Maybe a bite of that doughnut will satisfy your urge, and you can move on. Good Luck!- Frank

    I Hate Stalls!

It is frustrating! I haven't budged in the last month. I need to loose 40 pounds, and my body is fighting me every step of the way! I figure, at least I'm not gaining , so the battle continues. It was definitely easy at first, but now, I know I must be diligent about what, and how much , I eat. Meals are a breeze, its that damn urge to snack/graze that's a killer!!

My surgery was at the end of January. I am feeling good, however, the longer i go, the easier it would be to fall back into bad habits. I'm glad your doing well!

  13. Wow! Glad it turned out okay. That must have been scary for you.
  14. 4 months out, feeling pretty good. I know that it is easy for me to overeat. My doc says, just because you feel hungry, doesn't mean you have to eat!

105 pounds down in 6 months!

congrats! Keep up the good work!
  16. I had a recent check up (3 months) after gp and my doc says I should be at 5-600 calories a day from 3 to 6 months from surgery. Kind of a surprise that she said I was eating too much, and to cut back.

    Three months post op

Ignore the harsh comments. Like me, you probably want your excess weight off, RIGHT NOW! Hang in there, be patient. The weight didnt add on overnight, and it will take time to come off. I just want to be sure that I keep it off! - Frank
  18. Yes to what everyone has been saying. No cpap, normal sugar levels, chloresterol, bp. At 54, I feel better than I had in the last twenty years!

  20. Hi, I just joined the group. I've been visiting it for a while. So far. so good. I can sit down now to anything on my plate, but after a few Protein bites, and a nibble of the veg/carbs, I stop. I'm following the rules, and getting in my protein and liquids. The hardest part is eating slowly. I always ate too fast. and its hard to change!
  21. Thanks for the good suggestions, it is much appreciated- Frank
  22. Hi all, anyone else get their surgery the end of Jan? I've been reading about a lot of folks having a tough time after surgery. I must be lucky, other than the post op soreness, so far, I feel very good. I know its a journey , but the loss has slowed, the past week. still, I know this is a big deal, and don't want to blow it!
