You know you lost weight when
getnhealthyintx replied to Thomas CPA's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
When you can easily walk 3 miles with your 12 year-old son and not get winded. Where as before the 100yards to the mail box made you have to taken a nap. -

5/7 Sleeve date for me and I am losing Hair not weight. My fault on the not weight part. I'm not exercising and snacking a lot. I have not gained but have not lost in 3 weeks. But fat is redistributing because I am in a size 12 jean now and have not wore a 12 in 20 years. Sugar never a problem for me before now I am craving chocolate. Augh.

Struggling with excercise
getnhealthyintx replied to EvEisMySleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Great advice. I teach at a college, I have always been a pacer when I lectured, now I walk around the entire room during my lecture time so I basically get very slow hour and 15 minute walk during each of my classes. My office is also really close to the copy machine so to increase my number of steps that I take every day anytime I print something out I'll walk down to the end of the hallway about 300 steps and back before I go pick something up from the copy room. -
You look beautiful, the dress needs some taking in at your tiny waist so that it will flatter your beauty.

I was sleeved on May 7th. I began this journey at 242 I was about 226/7 on sleeve day and now I weigh 184. I have been 184 for 2 weeks now. Not a stall it's because I have gained a 12 year-old son during this last month and it is hard to eat right. My adjustment problem not him. So this summer has been an adventure filled one that's for sure. I need to workout more, I am full of excuses as to why I don't but I will be working on that.

CLEANED OUT CLOSET!
getnhealthyintx replied to blondebomb's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This afternoon I went shopping to my mothers closet she has always been smaller than me but I can wear some of her larger clothes now. so wonderful. it's great to have a mom is the same height as I am,but I've always been three or four sizes bigger than her and now I'm wearing her baggies I love it pretty soon I'll be wearing her regular clothes it's so nice to have gone down from an 18/20 to a 12/14. I can't wait until I'm smaller than her. -
No change.

3 years Post Op - Be inspired *Pics*

Thank you for sharing. I wish you nothing but success in your future. -
You are my inspiration. I am going to take your idea and run with it. I don't know if I can do whole week but I'm going to finish up this work week Monday through Friday having a liquid lunch breakfast and lunch and hopefully a very small dinner. I need to get back on track of soon. I had my surgery on May 7 and I have lost 60 pounds almost to 60 pound but I have been at the same weight from us two weeks. I don't think it's a stall. I think it's very poor choices and eating. So I need to jumpstart my weight loss and get back on track. So thank you for bringing this up and I hope to join you in losers bracket again. Bless you.

Wont miss ginormous bras!
getnhealthyintx replied to auntjanny's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm down over 60 lbs and am 44. My "girls" look like deflated balloons. I used to wear a 40 DD now I'm in a 38 C and they are winkled in the cup. Depressing. I can't imagine being able I afford getting them done, I have a 12 year old adopted son whom I'm raising alone. So I'll keep rolling them up and padding them nicely. Good luck all! -
Yahoo! you're on your way. That is so fantastic I still have about 3 1/2 more BMI points to get there but I'm headed in that direction. Way to go!

getnhealthyintx replied to ohh_mandyy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Bless you. You are living testament to how difficult this whole situation hands. I struggle every day. I'm not anywhere near my goal weight but I am 64 pounds closer than I was. I'm impressed with how much exercise you can't, I've never been a runner I'm never desired to run but I want to be healthy. Wish you nothing but happiness and success bless you sweet one. -
