    Happy Band Day April 19 Amiche96

    :update: I spoke with Angie this evening. She was in her room and very happy she made the decision to get Lap-Band. She was impressed that she had the surgery and was in recovery within two hours. Connie will stay with her over night and bring her home tomorrow. Angie said to all and as soon as her computer is fixed she will post an update. :clap2: Happy Band Day Angie :clap2:

    Getting Closer

    Hello Group, :update: I just talked with Connie and she is finally in her room. She is a little sore and suffering from dry mouth. She is able to have ice chips and little sips of Water. She plans to go home tomorrow and will post as soon as she can. Thank You for all your support and encouragement. Karen
  11. Hello Everyone, The last group meeting was great. We had three new post op's members join us. Teresa, LSasha and Raquel thank you for coming out. As I said so many times that day, Teresa reminded me of my friend Angie. So out going and sweet as can be. I was really able to open up to you. LSasha you are a very nice person. We will need to talk more next time. Raquel we didn't really get a chance to talk much but I look forward to meeting with you again. We had not seen Billie Jean in a while and I was happy to see her walk in. I'm glad you are learning how your new banded tummy works. It helps to see others and how they are handling things after being banded. I Will join you guys soon and be able to share my story. I can't wait. To the rest of the group hugs to ya all. I'm still working on the next location... any sugesstions? I know we want to meet in Bowie and I have a few places in mind. I want to go check on one place. I will ride out there sometime this week.     Motivation/Exercise

    T- I guess today was the day for both of us to get back on track. Can I count walking for over an hour in Walmart my work out for today? It sure did feel like it. My goal for tomorrow is to dance or walk in place for 30 minutes. I will post tomorrow. Karen

    What R We Eating

    Hey group: Four days have past since my last post. I was not really eating good. Some days I didn't have breakfast at all. I was eating things like for one lunch I had a bowl of potato salad and for one dinner I had a bowl of chili. I ate out one day at Arby's and over the weekend I was out to eat at Red Robin. But hey I'm back and I will start again from today. Breakfast: Slim Fast shake Lunch: 1 banana and Snack-able Dinner: 2 Slices of meat pizza, 4 hot wings with ranch dressing To drink I had Water and one soda

    What R We Eating

    2-7-05 Breakfast: Nothing - Was not able to eat until way after 1pm. Had to hold off until after I weighed in. Lunch: One bowl of Vietnamese steak, veggie and noodle Soup. One shrimp steamed egg roll. Water Dinner: Two chicken patty sandwiches on hamburger buns. With pickles and mustard on them. Water and green tea. Snack: Slim Fast shake < ---- Not good for a snack, but I was craving chocolet.

    Getting Closer

    Hello Everyone... I weighed in at 312 this morning and feeling good about it. Tomorrow I will go for my final weigh in with my dietitian. I also have an appointment with my doctor to get her started with the request for surgery. Everyone wish me good luck. Thanks Karen
