I found this site while searching for information on gastric bypass. I had my surgery because I was in chronic pain from my back and had two boughts with two different cancers. I had been seeing a metabolism specialist for a few years and had tried prescription diet pills. I am bipolar and started having weight problems after going on antidepressants. My bypass surgery had a few hickups, internal bleeding and was vomiting back up everything. I had to have two units of blood and once stable my doc had to take out a stitch because the opening to my stomach was too tight. Afterwards I did good until I started having trouble last year with constant vomiting, no appetite, shakes, dizzy spells, rapid weight loss of over 100 pounds in about six months (I had gained all my weight back), energy so I was sleeping all the time, blood sugar levels dropping below 50 more than once a day. In January of 2014 I was diagnosed with Addisons disease. In 2009 I had spinal surgery. In 2011 was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and had radiation. 2012 diagnosed with Sjogran's syndrome caused from radiation. 2004 had part of my lung removed with the cancer and told I have emphazima. I wad told a few weeks ago my Addisons was caused from the gastric bypass surgery.
