When did you try Steak again?
auntjanny replied to SeahawksFan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had steak at 11 weeks... Medium rare, very tender and delicious. Ate the filet part of the tbone. No problem. Had some steak again today that was marinated and crazy tender. My stomach loved it. -
When did your hair loss start?
auntjanny replied to EllieMae's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
8 weeks it started to come out and has been falling out for 4 weeks. My fingernails are very soft so I have begun eating jello. Some days hair loss is worse than others. No bald spots, but one side of my head seems thinner than the other. -

Loooong plateau early in the game. No weight loss after 8 weeks post op
auntjanny posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have stayed at the same weight for over 4 weeks. The scale varies very little. I joined a Zumba class and add modest treadmill but have yet to see their impact. I will have my 3 month check up a bit late, maybe at 3.5 months out, so my concerns might be answered then, but is there a chance that this is the best it gets? Could I have already passed the honeymoon stage in first 8 weeks? I would have laughed at a post such as this if I had not written it myself.... While not stellar with diet, calories are under 1000, good protein and water intake. No weight gain and no weight loss... I began with a starting weight of 182 and have been at 152. I am short. Is this a stall, or plateau, or the best I can be? Lots of hair loss in the last month and fingernails are thin. Thanks for your input! -
152.... Again

Stalled and starting to worry
auntjanny replied to Essence46's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So happy to read about the stalls. Not happy you have to experience it, but happy I am not alone. I am 12 weeks post op and have not lost anything in 4 weeks. I am not being stellar in my eating but am getting water and protein in... I have lost about 30. And have about that much more to lose. I think I need to spend some time on this site, drink more, exercise a bit longer and write it all down. Good luck to all of you! -
I'm So Depressed! Weight Loss is So Slow!
auntjanny replied to sukik's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 11 weeks post op and have not lost any weight in three weeks. However body weight is shifting and people are noticing. I joined a "remedial" Zumba class and have been on treadmill the last week and a half.. It is getting easier. I have been eating some crap and realizing it ... A NSV for sure... Throwing out bad/unhealthy food more often. Making better choices... That is what this stall is doing to me... So much better than how I would have dealt with this before. Keep up your good work! -

I have not lost in 3 weeks according to the scale.... Sleeved 9/22. Long stall, and losing hair!

Oh. I remember that. It is of little help now but it will go away. Stay hydrated.

I am 10 weeks post, and had to make cookies for a cookie swap with my euchre group. I had one cookie, and one piece of fudge. I was mad at myself for not having 1/2 a cookie and a 1/2 piece of fudge but, in hindsight, a year ago I would have eaten 10 times this amount.

Can someone do my Math work for me? I can't get protein fat and carbs to add up to 100%. I deleted the app to see if I can start fresh. All my dietician/nut said was to get the 60g protein in. She was not concerned about carbs and fat. I am 8 weeks post op. I will gladly just copy your numbers to plunk into mine just so I can get going. I know it will keep me motivated..why I am typing this while on exercise bike after a bad foamy moment from eating too fast! Thanks for any help!!'

SEPTEMBER 2014 POST-OP SLEEVERS CHECKING IN!
auntjanny replied to Rovobay's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was in a two week one. Really was not getting water in and protein. Calories never went over 1000, mostly 600 to 800. I just started getting protein and water increased with 24 oz of syntrax and scale is moving. Overall I just lose 2# a week on average -

I do think some folks don't know how to respond to info that one is going to have WLS. Saying "you're not THAT fat" seems an auto response and one we should never take personally. On this site, I have seen BMIs all over the board, some of which I might say. "OMG, you are not THAT fat!" And that some might say the same thing to me of my BMI. Bottom line, we all know the similar history and self hatred.... We want to be better. To be whole. Thank goodness for BP!
