Only 12 hours till I get to be at the hospital. I'm pretty nauseous as I've never had surgery before. Really excited to be turning the page on this new chapter in my life. V/r, Ken

Should I be concerned? The two that are warm, puffy and redish is mostly where my shirt has been rubbing.

I went by the hospital to pick up my pillow I left there and had a nurse look at it. She thinks it looks more like a local reaction to the glue. She said just keep an eye on it.

Not too bad. Its just they want you to take each one mixed with water. Thats a lot of fluid. Not sure about mixing them up.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I'm at my parents house resting now. We are making the trek back home today (3 hours from surgeon). I'm pretty sore and the combination of medicine is cumbersome and complex. I have to crush and dissolve Sucralfate, drink it 30 minutes before the protein shake. Then 30ml of hydrocodone. Twice a day I take the silate stool softener. Now I get to begin crushing and taking all my other med stuff too. Ugh.

I was really hoping to have a better first few days on the pre diet. I feel so tired and like I have the flu and my wife turns to me and says "I'm beat, can you make dinner tonight. Its just pancakes" breakfast for dinner is my favorite BTW. No honey I'm not making dinner. I will be in bed sipping on my chicken broth. Gees!

Things have gotten better. Still pretty weak but the hunger pains are better. My wife made me home made chicken broth yesterday. It was yummy.

I'm on day 2 of my 2 week liquid diet. Yesterday I drank 660 calories. Not sure why so many people have so many different diets. -
