Attention ! Australian Sleevers
sweetsexything replied to Lavea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi Merry. I am from Southwest area close to Homebush. M happy with my progress so far. Need to lose 6 kilos more to reach my goal by next month which is also my next appointment with my surgeon and dietitian. My workmates were surprised as I had only been away for my 6 weeks leave but have lost nearly 10kilos. I feel much lighter and happier now. Hope to lose a bit more in the next few weeks/months. -

Anyone start with a 35 BMI?
sweetsexything replied to JenSul's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello everyone. Got sleeved 1st of July 2014 in Sydney. Starting weight was 206, current weight of 184. I am 5 foot 6, post op week 4. I am a bit concerned too as I weighed myself 27/7 and was down to 82.6kilos (181.72lbs), weighed again today and was up to 84kilos (184.8lbs). Is this normal? I am afraid I won't be able to lose more as I feel that I can tolerate more food now but I easily get full. Any advice and tips there pls? -

Has anyone tried Slim n Trim from Aldi? Tastes lot better than the Optifast milkshake. -

JULY 2014 SLEEVERS GROUP
sweetsexything replied to SMED0308's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Same thing here. Got sleeved 1st of July and felt terribly hungry after discharged from hospital. My dietitan said I can start on a puree diet 6days post op but tried a few soft solids already which were very difficult to swallow (as expected) then started feeling really sick and weak. I still feel hungry after a few hours though and just couldn't help it. I'm trying to keep my fluids up as well. Any other tips on how I can get over this hunger phase? I started off at 93.8kg pre-op with BMI of 35, goal of 75kg in a few months. I am scared of getting the sleeve stretched and putting weight back on but the sleeve is my only hope and I don't regret doing it. Peace! -
Had mine last week, 1st of July. I didn't do my pre-op diet at all and never tried Optifast as I was told 2 weeks before the operation. Had terrible pain on my 1st night inspite of the PCA that I had. Pain became manageable after an added dose of IV pain meds. Got discharged 4th of July.

Hi there. I'm curious about the pre-op diet. Cant wait to get instructions from my nurse and dietitian on Monday! Is it just a pure liquid diet for the next 2 weeks prior to the procedure? -

Hello everyone! I'm from Sydney. My surgery date is on the 1st of July. I will be having my 2nd appointment on Monday, 16th of June. Haven't actually started eating healthy. I'm a bit nervous that I may not be able to do the pre-op diet but I gotta be positive that I can do it.
