hi girls , i havnt been on fo over a month now and nothing has changed for me , i seem to be holding my own , not losing but not gaining ..... i rang the hospital group about a fill two weeks ago and was told they were waiting for some number that would allow them to do the fills in dublin and they were hoping to have that number in a few days , so i waited and waited and hey you guessed no call from them........ so i just rang them now and was told they are still waiting for that number , my problem is i was banded by gerome on 28/06/07 so my aftercare is rapidly running out , i said this to them and was told they are extending the aftercare by six weeks ..... so im still playing the waiting game , they will put my name on the list for belfast but couldnt give me a date for fills up there either...... i asked what happens if this is not sorted by the time the extended six weeks is up and was told they didnt know what would happen that we would have to speak to a manager regarding this.......... so we live in hope.......

thanks roe , i thought i was invisable there for a bit , thats the number i have so i will keep trying to get through on it, let you know how i get on.........

hi everybody , its been so long since ive been on , welcome to all the new girls, its great to see so many new names......... i think the last time i was on and posted this tread was only on about page 30.........very quickly my story is , i was banded by acs back on 28th june 07 by gerome , my starting weight was 17stone 12pounds, at first the weight loss was very slow with little or no restriction,by christmas i was down 2stone, im not sure how much i have in my band at the moment, i had my last fill early january by dr jan, at the moment i weigh 14stone 2pounds which im delighted with but over the last few weeks im eating like a horse and was 4lb lighter, ive tried ringing the number i have to contact acs but it just keeps ringing, if any of you could pm me the correct number i would be greatfull.........

hi ladies, well holidays over and it was great. had visit with lou before i went . no fill. she thought i wasnt eating enough to lose weight. told me to up calories by 200 a day and see how i got on. well i did that over last two weeks and bingo she was right im down 7lb and one week of that was in lanzarote so im happy with that result.

Hi allure , good to see your back again. you probably dont remember me , we met in owenstown house one day and you gave me your number so i could get on this site. It has been a great support to me. welcome on board marge ,this is a great site and the support is great while your thinking of getting banded........... it does become part of your day to day life and you learn very quickly what and how much you can eat . you need to learn how to eat slowly and chew, chew, and chew again, as if you try to swallow something thats too large it will get stuck and thats very uncomfortable.the port is not visible but you can feelit under the skin

i was banded in ireland in june. On the day of the operation two hours after i returned to the ward my surgeon ok'ed it for me to have a mug of coffee , i was never told not to have coffee..

Good Luck Debb...... try make sure you get up and walk about as soon as you can after the op , this will help with the gas pains you get in your shoulder....... looking forward to hearing from you post op.....

Hi Dini , im doing ok. Still not much restriction but working hard at it myself. Im going to ring and see if i can get an appointment for a fill before i go to lanzarote . i go on the 25th oct.The last time i was away i gained most of what i had lost during the time i was away. I dont want that to happen again. The first i heard about tara leaving was from you on this page.I will let you know how i get on .

Hi Alesha , i had my band done 28th june in dublin .I had my first fill middle of aug , i felt no restriction after it . Ive just had my second fill onlast week.it feels so different this time, i can realy feel it. Ring the clinic for an apointment and make sure when you are in there you tell them that you dont feel any restriction ..... that if you are down weight its because you are restricting yourself.......... Good luck

hi everbody, im new to this site . i was banded on 28th june with acs .At my first check up i was down 5kilos then i went on hols and gained most of that back. i got my first fill on 22nd of august and so far dont feel any restriction..... is this normal...... im finding it so hard to keep my head out of the fridge ..... im back in acs tomorrow for check up so im hoping they might do something ......... i know if i am down its only because im refusing to allow myself overeat and im hungry...... maybe someone can awnser a few questions for me....... What is the sweet spot.... Did you all ask what size your band is .............. Do you all ask how much of a fill you are getting......... Where do i get the med1 form and do i need to get a reciept from acs to apply for this tax back , as i never got one ............... thanks girls , keep up the good work . you are all giving me new hope.....:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:
