  1. The person that did the report *may* have just seen the Starbucks drink, made his mind up, didn't want to bother listening and had a report to write. Did you decide whether or not you are going to get another psych report?

    Long term physical considerations

@@Fiddleman i was/am terrified that i will have one of those stupid "humps" on my back i have bone scan every two years - its not the greatest, but i am a worry wart thats why i've always been very mindful of my walking straight and tall i always held my head, thus my back - staight up kindof like a broom was sticking up my asssssss stood/walked very erect therefore my shoulders et al are/were never affected now after losing 105 lbs - i am walking/standing even taller Kathy I recently saw someone on the show, The Doctors, that had a pronounced hump below the nape of the neck; it was a fat deposit. They did a local anesthetic and used liposuction to remove the fat. It flattened right up.

    Stupid weight loss advice

Goes to show you-- lots of people are ignorant, doctors too. How insulting! Glad you ditched him.
  8. I buy non-fat plain yogurt, then add Sweet N' Low or stevia + vanilla extract or fruits.
  9. Another solution would be to donate it to a shelter or the McDonald House, if there is one in your vicinity.
  10. New whey sounds like a good option immediately post op since so many people have trouble drinking enough Fluid. Thanks for the info!
  11. OMGGGGGG! I would have trouble putting up with that! Glad to hear you are taking the step forward to unburden yourself and get healthy!

Doctor Requirements - Stuck in Approval

Wow! Yeah, he sounds meticulous alright. Does he also have OCD? Why so stringent? You are meeting requirements for *insurance* purposes. I would like to see you go to a different very good surgeon who won't put up any B.S. roadblocks. Also, since when does a girlfriend "allow" you to have surgery?!

    FRUSTRATED Grocery shopper..

You can buy low or no fat PLAIN yogurt, then add Sweet N' Low or other non-sugar sweetener. Adding a little vanilla extract really makes it taste good!

Wil I have normal life after sleeve?

If you haven't already, why don't you check out the Gastric Sleeve Veteran's Forum! There is feedback from some people that have had their sleeve 3 and 4 years out.
  19. I don't think about any of that; it's irrelevant to me /background chatter. I just know that this is what I need to do to be healthy.

    Television and Radio

Let the kids ask... it doesn't mean you have to go. It can be a teaching moment, for example, how this or that is not healthy, and you can show them how to cook something similar that is much healthier!
