    Surgery Cancelled

I'm sorry to hear that your surgery had to be cancelled. It sounds like you are bound and determined to be healthy-- a good thing!. Weight loss should definitely help your liver work as well as it can. Best of luck!

    New to this forum

You've come to the right place! You will find people with diabetes that can help you make that decision. Also, you can do searches and look in forums to find references to scientific literature. Best wishes.

    Insurance coverage for plastics?

From what I've read on this site, generally not, only if you have skin degradation that doesn't heal. To cut costs, many people do a lot of due diligence and find really good plastic surgeons in Mexico and have had great results. Just use the Search feature... not just on who does plastic surgery and their results, but, for example, how to check credentials advertised.

Welcome! A lot of us on this site have co-morbidities and are doing something about it. Congratulations!
  10. @@Capegin, my husband had bad breath when he went on the Adkin's diet, similar to what people eat during pre-op liquid phase.
  11. @Beckyyb93 I enjoy the idea of eventually fitting in designer duds too, I just don't want to lay out massive cash for them! Ebay has a lot of nice designer clothes at a fraction of their original cost. Have fun.
  12. Hi and welcome! Many of us have similar issues. What kind of surgery are you considering?
  13. My husband almost died from a similar experience. He was having gall bladder attacks, and chose to ignore them because we were in the process of moving. He had a very bad attack and went to the emergency room. The doctor said he could choose to go home and wait, or have it done while he was there. He wanted to continue to move furniture back and forth. I told him in a not-so-elegant way, that he was not leaving until it was done. Turns out, he had stones in the tubing coming out of the gall bladder, and the stones had ripped holes through the tube. If he hadn't had the surgery and eaten some food, it would have gone into his abdomen. He would have gotten sepsis and died..

    Constant nausea

I guess nothing beats looking at it to see what the problem is! I had one prior to surgery. I went in, they gave me something to sleep; I woke up as if nothing happened... piece of cake.

  21. I suggest you go to a bariatric nutritionist. They will have the knowledge to get you where you want to be and still have the calories for Peyton. Congratulations!
