BeagleLover replied to lucky1gg33's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe the dressing was bad(?) It has mayo in it. -
Disabled and/or retired?
BeagleLover replied to TheRealMeIsHere!'s topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I suggest trying http://www.meetup.com You put your zip code in and you'll get a list of all the various groups with various interestsin your area, OR you can start your own group. -
I also take them under my tongue. I get them at Trader Joe's. The label says the ingredient is cyanocobalamin. This isn't the same as mentioned by @@James Marusek. I've been taking them every other day and my labs came back that the levels are 1400% higher than they need to be, so I'm taking them less often.

WILL I KNOW TOMORROW?

If I were in your shoes, I would call both doctors' offices OFTEN to make sure the records are transferred in a timely manner. Best wishes! -
13 days left, NOT where I need to be, NEED quick advice!
BeagleLover replied to meyouus's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've had a different approach. Eight months out, the bad health effects that could have significantly affected my life are gone (diabetes and sleep apnea). My surgeon gave me a wide range of healthy weights for my height-- a range of 33 lbs.! I didn't see any point to picking an arbitrary weight that I would then obsess over. My goal was to be healthy. I believe my weight will settle wherever it needs to. I've met my goal. The rest is gravy. -

You can! Keep your eye on the prize. The food isn't worth jeopardizing your surgery. -

You do look much healthier! Just a thought... it would be nice to get your husband's buy-in on the plastic surgery, but you don't need his permission. It sounds as though it really bothers you!

Share your rants about the fashion industry!
BeagleLover replied to byebyedarkpassenger's topic in Rants & Raves
Learning to sew would change things so you aren't limited to what you can find. You'd have a lot more choices of colors, patterns and styles and be able to adjust the pattern to fit your body. -

Yeah! Who wants their headlights showing! -
I can't answer your question..everyone's different. I'm 8 months out and have lost 60 lbs. So far so good. Not much extra skin, so I can't complain.

Lucky! I'm 8 months out and can eat 1/2 a scrambled egg in one sitting.

Monday: Food and Nutrition
BeagleLover replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I agree... keep it interesting! My favorite way to do that is to go to http://www.pinterest.com and type in the keyword recipe, followed by any country you can think of and see what comes up. I ignore the recipes for foods that are high carb or fried. -
Losing TOO MUCH weight?
BeagleLover replied to GreenEyes604's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I believe there is no specific goal weight for a given height. If you research BMI, there is one calculation, but the "optimal" range depends on gender and age. Weight also varies depending on how much muscle you have on your frame. So, I would like to see you go with how YOU feel and your personal aesthetic. -

@@majorsmama, IF the appointment cancelled is your monthly nutritional appointment, you may have to start over. I'd check beforehand before you miss any. -

Gastric Sleeve and chronic fatigue syndrome and/or chronic migraines

I was very tired for around 4 weeks--- but everyone is different. -
I tried the "sugar free" candy when I was diabetic. My blood sugar went way up. I haven't tried them since I've been sleeved.

Curious..... Why sleeve over bypass?
BeagleLover replied to kmb71179's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I chose it because my intestine was left as it was, nothing was taken off, allowing all the Vitamins and minerals to be absorbed. This translated into not having followup as often to make sure I wasn't developing a Vitamin deficiency.
