    could it get worse?

I think you need to put your foot down. What!!? That have 4 - 6 weeks to submit?! Ahh NO! You want it sent in immediately. Keep bugging them every day until it's sent in.

    What's for breakfast?

Most mornings I have an omelet with one egg & 1/2oz. Monterrey Jack cheese, cooked slowly so it's not too dry.

    What would you do?

Sounds like it would be good planning to mention this to your surgeon on your last pre-op. Maybe you can get a prescription filled the day before.

    What would you do?

By two days after surgery, I had no pain. Got the pain killer prescription filled, but never needed to use them!
  8. unjury and Syntrax nectar - they are both 100% Protein isolate and have good taste reviews. Lots of recipes can be found on the blog, The World According to Eggface.

    Losing focus

I think it will go away and NOT COME BACK! That's better than "probably diminish"! (That's a doctor's standard non-guarantee language.)

    Losing focus

@@Eclectick, a few months ago, I found a scientific study that determined that, if you have had diabetes for around 4 years or less, it will likely go away completely without returning. I had diabetes for 4 years. My blood sugar went way down after only 2 days. Glad to give you some good news!

What a difference a year makes...

You do look beautiful and healthy! Congratulations!
  14. I always wanted to get a flesh-colored bodysuit with embroidered nipples, a l-o-n-g blond wig and be Lady Godiva. Oh, wearing a horse around my waist would finish the look.

    Post surgery

I was diagnosed by a blood test, but not after a biopsy. I was sleeved on 9/26. My surgeon said that it would resolve in 3 - 4 months after surgery.
  17. I suggest getting the name of the nearest Bariatric Center of Excellence and get a referral to see a surgeon there for a second opinion.

Were you given medicine to take 1st thing in the morning to minimize stomach acid to let your new stomach heal faster? I wouldn't assume the gurgline has anything to do with hunger... it just happens and is normal.

    So excited! Hit my milestone!

    You look great! Congratulations!

    Lost too much weight?

I noticed that Syntrax has a Matrix line that has more calories. You may want to try that. By the way, you look so healthy and fantastic!

    I haven't pooped in 5 days....

My surgeon said 2 - 3 days of liquids post-surgery, then whatever I could tolerate. I started with eggs, but if you're not careful, they are rubbery. I put a little extra Water in with the egg and cook it slowly so it stays soft. I also started with tuna fish + very low calorie mayo & a little Mt. Olive sugar free sweet relish.. again, very little at first and eat very slowly. For the constipation, I would just add some flax seeds to whatever you're eating.
  22. I would ask ahead of time if they are going to remove the gas before ending the surgery. I also suggest requesting that you receive the pain meds in your IV rather than trying to get large pills down. That's hard right after surgery. Best wishes!

    Preparing pre surgery

My NUT recommended the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins. She suggested taking 2 calcium citrate per day--- they are a pleasant caramel taste. I also take the Bariatric Advantage "Ultra Multi Formula with Iron". I take the calcium citrate in the morning and evening, and the multi-Vitamin in the middle of the day so the Iron and calcium don't negate each other out.
  24. I get it out of a can from either Wal-Mart or Safeway.
