I decided to create this thread for all June and July sleevers who are getting VSG in Mexico. This would be a place where we can share our thoughts and experiences as we go through this journey. Please state your starting weight,...... your surgeons name........... and when you will be having surgery. Keep in mind that we need to be respectful of each person's opinion and their surgeons. All experiences will be welcomed!!!!

Okay everyone!. I am proud to announce that today I paid my deposit and finally set my date to have VSG in Tijuana Mexico at Angeles Hospital with Dr. Jose Rodriguez and Dr. Elmo Aramburo with BeLiteWeight!!!! My surgery is schedule for July 24th 2014! I am super and excited and cannot wait to see where this Journey will take me. Any experience with these surgeons will be greatly appreciated. If you are planning to have VSG with BeLiteWeight....let us buddy up and experience this journey together!!! Any July surgery in Mexico are welcome to buddy up with Me!!!

oh geez! I am so glad i am going to Angeles Hospital. i'll stay there for 3 days with the hubby at my side. no shopping, no need for a 3rd hand. this is some scarry stuff....

I Heard Today from facebook that Dr. Aceves from Mexicali Died in Plane Crash. Is this true? If this is true. ...this is so sad.

I forgot to mention that I will have my surgery in July of this year!

Hi JJ. I understand. I was in your shoes a few months ago. Picking a surgeon for myself was not easy. I have heard good things on the surgeons you mentioned, they were also part of my narrowed list. But I have chosen Dr. Jose Rodriguez and Dr. Elmo, with BeLiteWeight company because I have about 5 acquaintance and also friends who have used them. Another thing for me was that I did not want to be sent to a hotel with a drain and did not want the back and forth trip between hospital and hotel. I will have my surgery at Hospital Angeles where I will be staying 3 pre sugery and discharged home on my 3rd day post op. I was able to get personal feedback from almost 30 of his patients and feel comfortable at this point. My next choice would have been Mexicali with Dr. Alvarez but I leave in California and San Diego was the closest with no Flight required. My advice would be to choose the surgeon you feel that is the right one for you and go with your instinct. Feel free to PM me anytine. Rose.

Does any one has any advice on how to kick start the pre-op diet? I plan to keep it simple by doing 2 protein shake and a light salad for dinner with meat as a protein source. I am starting pre-op diet after July 4th weekend. My surgery is July 24th

That's great!! i will be sleeved by same surgeon on July 24th. Please keep us posted. would love to know your experience upon your return. feel free to pm me if you are more comfortable with that.

I am using dr. Rodriguez with BeLiteWeight . There is a Facebook page called "weight loss mexico" check them out, they are mainly dr. Elias Ortiz patients with ALighterme. His patients are very happy also.
