I am all for this. I still have a bit of weight to lose. I have been stalled, but I am not discouraged. I know I have to increase my workout and log my calories.
-
Hey guys, I was just thinking about everybody. I too am at a stall, but I am trying to stay positive. I have also been thinking about going back to shakes to jump start my weight loss again. I can't believe that we are at a year already.

Hello all! And thank you for the prediction tool. . I am slightly above the 50%, but not in the 20%. What I take this tool to mean is that I am on tract. Just like when you have a baby the doctor keeps tract of height and weight for age group. . It means that we are experiencing average weight loss for our surgery. In knowing that, I plan to kick things up a notch. ???? I am very Encouraged

Don't be a slave to the scale. My surgery was the same day as yours and I am down 60 pounds. I have been on a scale stall for the last 2 weeks but I know that I'm losing inches. I put on my work scrubs this morning and they are totally too big and last week they were not. I think sometimes these stalls happen so that your body can catch up with your weight loss. I intend to buy a tape measure today and measure my weight loss more by inches then by the scale. Keep moving stay motivated the scale does not rule you!

Good for you! I have been walking, but recently joined a gym. It had been good for my entire family. I am trying to schedule to be there everyday for at least an hour. You are an inspiration

Thank you for the 30 minute meal comment. I didnt know that. I have become a very slow eater. I will be mindful of my meal times

Hello everyone! We are 3 months post op. How is everyone doing. I am fine! I am enjoying exercise, primarily walking, but zumba and WII is fun too. My fit bit and My fitness pal keep me motivated.

MrsGlo,
I am so glad to read that you are doing well. I always read your posts when I see then, because you are always so positive. It is amazing how little we need to eat now. Keep up the good work

Today, 3 days short of being two months out from Surgery (4/2), I am officially lighter than I have been in 25 years, and I'm very, very happy...
This has been an extraordinary journey so far. Sometimes far more difficult, sometimes far easier than I had ever imagined. So far, very, very worthy of the trip.
Tuesday of this week, I treated myself to a new set of shirts, and a couple of pairs of pants, each of which were two sizes smaller than I've worn forever...
Have a great day everyone.
Wayne
Congratulations Wayne!

So I'm 5 weeks postop and I'm on full liquids. I'm not sure I can drink one more Protein Shake but I have one more week to go! Anyone have suggestions on some different flavors? I can't blend fruit into the shakes yet either. I do have syntrex nector lemon tea that I like.
Wow, at 5 weeks, you are on full liquid only? Did you try Unjury chicken broth. It has 22 grams of Protein

I am 2 days away from 6 weeks out and all of a sudden, I can't eat anything! Yesterday I went back to Protein Shakes and chicken broth. I am hungry and can't eat. The irony of that is crazy. But still I move on

Thank you for your responses to my concern.
No changes this morning. I forced myself to finally shower.
I looked at my stomach at the incisions and the incision on the left side where all this pain/pressure/tingling is stemming from looks different than the others. I kinda looks my skin was folded inward, like a Tummy Tuck. So now that area of skin folds inward and the rest of my incisions just hang naturally on me.....
I don't know if I am describing this to the best of my ability. I called the nurse at the bariatric center to discuss this. In the voicemail I started crying, of course. This is the first time I cried about this whole process.
Has anyone heard/experienced an incision like this?
I just am praying so badly this isn't a mistake..... ?de13
Mine did the same thing, fold in that is. I believe that is normal. It is still swollen and will be like that for a few weeks. Try to calm down and relax. Stay hydrated and rest.

Good Morning Everyone! How is everyone doing? Fine I hope! I have a question, how much Protein are you getting? In what ways are you getting it( if shakes what kind, if natural how). Just trying to improve the protein intake of myself and others who are struggling. Thank you guys for being the awesome supportive group you are!

I'm so envious. I feel like I'm not losing weight at all. Tomorrow makes one month. Day of surgery I was 240. I've been at 227/229 for two weeks now.
What are you eating. How much Protein are you taking in. Are you exercising? If all is in order, a call to your NUT or md is necessary

GOOD MORNING GUYS....I STOPPED TALKING ABOUT IT AND WENT BACK TO BASICS...SMOOTHIE THIS MORNING AND YESTERDAY MORNING.... THINGS HAPPENED, food CRAVINGS AND CONSUMPTION DECREASED. 2 lbs gone. Also I think we should honestly log and report in group what we ate each day....we need to be accountable
