    Feeling accomplished

I just started riding my bike with my kids after getting one for Mothers Day three years ago. What a great feeling! I didn't remember how to ride as well, I had a few close calls! Good job, keep up the good work! I am down 64 lbs, sleeved April 14th...
  2. I've had similar experiences. When I asked my NUT she said higher fat foods will cause this because our new pouch can not handle all that heavy fat. It's a learning experience I guess as far as what we can tolerate. I guess it a version of dumping for sleeve patients....I definitely swear and run to bathroom after a wrong choice.

    2 days out and hungry

The first week I was always hungry, especially because I was on a clear liquid only diet. I am one of the people that feels hungry often, I am struggling with that. I just try to have a good protein snack and it subsides. Also I noticed the more fluids I drink the less hungry I feel. Good luck, hang in there....
  4. I have noticed a fluttering type feeling in my chest a few times since surgery. It alarmed me as well but I dismissed it as nothing only because I has a full cardio work up before surgery. It was followed by a feeling of being breathless unless that was me being scared.
  5. Hi all! I just went for my 10 week appt. I am down 52 pounds! I have had no complications, and I am feeling great. Hope everyone is feeling great and ready to take off some pounds this July!

    New to Posting

Hi! I had my surgery on April 14th as well. Sounds like you are doing great! I think I get about 40 oz of liquid a day. I am having a hard time adjusting to this new lifestyle. Someone suggested I get unflavored protein powder and add it into things to up my protein intake. Maybe you could do that. I also love the Unjury chicken broth protein, sometimes I have it warm in a mug, it has 20g protein....
  7. April 14th, weight day of surgery 286, weight now, 243....43lbs so far.

    1 Month Out

That's a great result! I am 8 weeks out and down 44 lbs...keep up the good work!
  9. The heparin shot is a blood thinner to prevent blood clots during and after surgery, I believe. I received them as well.

    1 Day Post-Op

Feel better. I did really well with IV Tylenol. I was afraid of nausea with pain meds so I asked for only Tylenol...remember sip slowly and consistently.
  11. I was a huge carb addict. I am 6 weeks post op, I really don't crave it anymore. You will learn to live without carbs for sure!! Hang in there...
  12. I was told four weeks for pool or tub...
  13. I have it too. Last night sitting at my sons school meeting I almost couldn't take it. My nurse practitioner asked if I was having back pain, she said it was common from being on the OR table for so long. Never heard the mesh theory, I'm going to ask if I have mesh in there.
