Has anyone had a sleeve to bypass revision? I have reflux really bad and am told that will help. I had surgery done 3.5 years ago, unfortunately in the last 6 months I have also started gaining weight. Can I expect to lose weight if I do this? Also trying to figure out how to get insurance to pay as it is to relieve the reflux, weight loss is secondary.

Sleeve to bypass revision
Jlangen replied to Jlangen's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
How long since surgery? -
Thanks for sharing this. I'm thinking about doing a revision because I have reflux so bad but also because I'm slowly gaining. I too am a slow loser and I'm very frustrated.

Thanks I'll bump up the calories and see if that works. How long before the hair loss slowed?

My date was March 21. I'm down 60 lbs. very happy with that but this last month has been slow. I watch EVERYTHING I eat, walk 3 miles 3-4 times a week yet I'm really struggling going down any more. I'm still at around 600 calories. I'm still40 lbs away from where I want to be. Any suggestions? Oh and my hair is falling out like crazy.

I'm glad I found this topic. I am 1 month post op and lost 20.2 lbs total. Most of that was the first 2 weeks. The last 2 weeks I've only lost 2.2 lbs. What??? I did this to my body and spent this money to maybe lose 4 lbs a month? I am counting every calorie - staying around 500 per day. I walk, at least a few times a week. I'm exhausted! I have always had a difficult time losing weight and I wasn't a huge eater. My Dr. once told me I'm wired for survival. I'm wired to hang on to weight. Silly me thought that this would help it go faster - a re-wiring. As of right now, if someone asked me I 'd tell them it isn't worth it... -
Stall is depressing me :-(

I'm 3 weeks out - down 14 pounds but only 3 in the last 11 days. OMG I am so depressed. I cried for an hour this morning. I am eating on the average of 500 calories a day. I track them on my fitness pal and am very diligent about getting Protein, not empty calories. I have been trying to walk, although my energy level is low. I am so afraid that I have done this to my body to only lose a minimal amount of weight. Help. Please someone tell me this is going to pass. I know what science says, I should be losing weight but I'm not. -
Specialized Bariatrics/Dr Lopez

Dr Lopez did mine in Tijuana and everything was great. -
This is my first post also. I'm 9 days post op. I had surgery in Mexico. I was pretty nervous but everything went well. The day I got out of the hospital I went for a 3 hour walk. I went back to work on day 6...really never dawned on me that it should be different. Here is the deal. I am too scared to get on the scale. I have tried too hard and too long to lose weight. I finally take this action and what of it doesn't work? I'm taking in around 300-600 calories but having a hard time getting enough protein.
