My anniversary is one year the 11th of March. 65lbs from 256 to 191 being my lowest. Overall I do very well, feel so much better and typically try to exercise regularly. I really pushed my exercise with weights and I have Fibro. Over did it and I get the bad nerve burn so it sets me back a week or two and then I go right back to it. I have gone back to drinking lemon water in the am warm to flush toxins. Also having a few sugar cravings so trying to find ways to curve my eating, trying diet sugar-free pudding so I won't over indulge. Started eating a little ice cream so had To STOP!! So easy to fall back so stay focused my friends. Went from a 18-12 and don't want to change except for the better in being healthy and happy because I can participate in outings now. Stay true to yourself.

I agree baby steps, buy something 1 or 2 sizes smaller. Agree with Johnathon Blue!

Seven weeks post op, night time dry heaving two nights in a row now
SugarTea replied to tiredtwinmommy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Also meant to say I had this reaction when I would eat one bite too much adjusting to solid food. Had to lay down. It took several weeks for it to pass. Also took Prevacid. Remember no drinking and eating for 30 minutes. Now a different feeling completely. When I had the shakes, sweats and feeling faint it was something I drank and know what I did. Drank something a little sweet with straw. I had not used a straw until that day since surgery. Doctor said it entered my little stomach to fast .Said hypoglycemic sugar drop/ or dumping. Never want to feel like that again. -

Status 4 months out, loss 56lbs. Today are Greek yogart for Breakfast, salmon/salad for lunch. Don't think it had MSG but got a headache after. Then small kid shake for dinner because I am not hungry and thgt it would hold me. I got the sweats, shakes, felt like I was going to throw up. Could barley make it back to my hotel and had to lay down. Now I have cramps in calfs and feet bad. I have drank Water all day. My hair is starting to fall out at this point my nutrition lady said it is normal. BTW I am taking all my Vitamins. What in the world... ??? Feels like hypoglycemic which I had before I lost the weight. Scary today. Anyone ever felt like this? Was it the shake, not enough food?

Duh I should have known that...???? , feeling silly.

What are RTD shakes?

A little but it sure drained me. Here I thought I was prepared but apparently not enough. 2nd day without my regular protein shake makes a huge difference in my energy and well being. Definitely feel it was drop in blood sugar. Thanks for responding! Nice to have support and I love this website. Still in bed taking it easy, lesson learned!

Thanks traveling so I couldn't find place with protein shakes. You all are right!

Help Mind over Matter its btw my ears sweet tooth
SugarTea posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have done so well. 3 months out, 53lbs lost. Exercising now, weight loss is slowing. My sweet tooth seems to have returned somewhat- HELP! I work and stay busy, is it boredom, I just want to taste it, I have even spit it out. The urge is hitting me everyday. All of a sudden I want gelato, a piece of chocolate or two, a cupcake. It must stop. I am scared and need to adjust my thinking. Tips, thoughts and suggestions are welcome. -
Good luck another improvement especially if it makes you uncomfortable.

I may try that but stay to two bites and save half for the next day. It can be tough. -
Pretty great job! What is the procedure you are having. Btw you and your tummy look great. I am 3 months out, lost 55 and slowing down some now. Have 30 more to go. Just beginning to run a little.

That is a wonderful loss in three months. Did you go to Atlanta Baratrics? It is the best thing and I feel like a new human being! Good luck!

Great I hope all your tests go well. It Is life changing surgery. Be prepared at first you can get a little down. Food taste different, taste and smell return but everything changes. Them as you progress it gets better each day.

My AHA moment was on vacation in NYC at Christmas. However, it built up over several years. Pain, Fibro. Sleep apnea, pre diabetic, couldn't walk, broken foot, cane. Tried every diet being good losing regaining for years. Thyroid issues and more. Then the first family vacation trip with my young adult children and I couldn't keep up. It slowed them down, cut back on our fun and I was constantly tired and sleep deprived. My husband has been the best supporter. Then I had my first grandson. Best decision I ever made and wish I had done so years ago. Not easy, but OMG I feel like a different person. 50 lbs down after 3 months about 30 more to go to be 175 at 5'8.

I would say yes, when you really begin to feel well enough again and your confidence soars.

oh am I am 55, sleeved on 11 March.

I am two days from three months. Weighed in at 256, today I weigh 205. Lost 51lbs to date. Going for at least 30 more. Increasing exercise and eating more veggies now and of course extra protein with yogurt in am and a shake during the day.

That is so great that you have her love and support. I imagine for anyone going at it alone it is tough especially those first weeks of recovery. My husband has been a dream of a supporter. He really helped me along the whole decision process, went to the classes, and in recovery. Then this weekend we got ready for a wedding and his pants are too big because he is of pretty normal stature a little overweight. Now he has really toned up and lost about 15. He said he now realizes we just don't need to consume so much food. We both feel so much better physically.
