Well...it can be so difficult to know where to start, some would say the begining, but I find it hard to know where that is...so....
My name is Christa, I am 37 years old. I am a mother, wife, and a morbidly obese woman. That term morbidly obese is kind of scary.
It says to share a little about my personality...well to be honest, I am a smart a$$, but I have a heart of gold. There isn't much that I wouldn't do for anyone!
I work in the healthcare field, and know that my health is affected by my weight, but to be honest didn't think that it was affected that badly.
I found this website through a friend who is also considering the surgery. She was doing some research, wanting to find out as much information as possible.
I am in the 6 month doctor supervised diet. This is the third time that I have completed everything to have the surgery. The first time, back in 2002, the surgeon wanted me to lose about 75 pounds before I could have the surgery, and I was like if I could lose that much weight I would be looking to have surgery?!?! The second time, I was les then 10 pounds till they would give me my surgery date and I had to relocate out of state, which made it so I would have to start all over again, and I was like F$#@ it! Soooo...this time around, what really clicked it for me, is I really want to have a child with my current husband, and I can't do that because of PCOS and my weight. So, I finally sucked it up and decided that it needed to be done so that I can live a long and healthy life.
I am hoping to benefit from this site by meeting people who have gone through it, and are living the after life.
